Someone had secretly packed the surrounding space into a pocket universe without anyone noticing.
If it had only been the two of them, that would have been one thing. But Scarlet Witch and Black Phoenix had been trapped inside as well, and neither of them was someone to be taken lightly.
Doctor Strange had no doubt that if Thanos from back then had appeared here, he would have been torn apart with his bare hands, his only fate to become ashes.
That showed just how powerful those two were.
Yet even beings as powerful as them had been silently brought under someone's control.
Doctor Strange could not help falling silent.
He did not have the ability to open a portal that could leave a universe.
"Who could it be?"
Compared to the relatively composed Doctor Strange, Baron Mordo was in far worse shape. He was nearly scared out of his wits.
Scarlet Witch, who had effortlessly destroyed their Illuminati, had already been terrifying enough. Now some unknown person had appeared. All of this had left Baron Mordo unable to think.
"What exactly is wrong with your universe?"
So Baron Mordo could only blame everything on this world.
"Does your universe actually have someone this powerful?"
Mordo was on the verge of collapse. If heaven gave him another chance, he would rather die than come to this world again.
This fucking world was cursed!
"I don't know either."
Doctor Strange shook his head and continued, "If someone like that really existed, shouldn't they have appeared during all the crises we faced before? But I've never known anyone capable of accomplishing all this without making a sound."
Doctor Strange found it strange as well. In his view, not even Ancient One could have done all this silently right in front of him.
