The Time Variance Authority, the original S.H.I.E.L.D., the Sky Sword Bureau, the Avengers, the Illuminati—these organizations were all essentially the same. They claimed to protect world peace, but behind the scenes, they were full of filth.
And every last one of them was incredibly arrogant. Whether it was Earth, a single universe, or even the multiverse, did their peace really need people like them to meddle in it?
Perhaps America had grown too used to throwing its weight around on Earth. Once they reached the cosmic level, they wanted to meddle with cosmic civilizations too. Even though their power was barely worth mentioning, they arrogantly insisted on sticking their noses into everything.
Take the Sky Sword Bureau, for example. It had risen from the remnants of S.H.I.E.L.D. After S.H.I.E.L.D. was destroyed, it acquired a few Skrulls and some technology provided by Captain Marvel, then started talking about protecting peace in the universe. Wasn't that just laughable?
The Illuminati were the same. A group of so-called Super Heroes from several different worlds formed a team and declared that they would protect the multiverse.
And what happened? Scarlet Witch Wanda wiped them out single-handedly. Not one was left; they were all reduced to ashes. That ending was truly miserable.
After learning about the fate of those idiots, Chen Mu really wanted to write a huge character for "miserable" for them.
And now, the Time Variance Authority was no different.
The Time Variance Authority might have been larger in scale than those organizations, but in the face of the infinite multiverse, it was still utterly insignificant.
The multiverse was infinite. Even if the Time Variance Authority had influence over dozens or hundreds of worlds, that was all it amounted to. Compared to the entire multiverse, it was merely a drop in the ocean.
