"Mission complete!"
By Konoha's small river, Kiba Inuzuka emerged from the bottom, dripping wet and holding a silver necklace. It was the target of this D-Rank Mission: a necklace the owner had dropped into the riverbed. Hinata's Byakugan and Shino Aburame's aquatic insects had located it, and then the swimming Kiba had gone down to retrieve it.
"Good job. Take a break while I go turn in the mission."
The red-eyed beauty took the necklace Kiba handed over and vanished. Kurenai Yuhi, the jonin instructor of Team Eight, which Hinata belonged to, was a red-eyed beauty proficient in Genjutsu.
"You worked hard, Kiba. Have something to eat."
As she spoke, Hinata handed Kiba a bento box. She had made it herself, and whenever they had no time to eat during missions, they made do with her lunchboxes.
"This smell... pork ribs, right? Woof!"
Kiba sniffed, drooling as he opened the bento box and shared it with Akamaru.
"Hinata always makes bentos for us. Thank you."
Shino had one too. Since his insects liked sweets, most of his bento consisted of desserts. Hinata's lunch had deeply moved this teammate, who was often considered strange.
"Hey, aren't we just test subjects? She'll make some for Naruto once she perfects the flavor."
Kiba patted his stomach. As a human, he had actually chewed up and swallowed even the bones. The Inuzuka Clan truly had everything to do with dogs.
"Even so, you should be grateful. Hinata has always taken care of us."
Shino lectured him with a stern expression.
"I-It's fine. Kiba isn't wrong either."
"Come to think of it, you really do like Naruto, huh? Lots of people must want to get on good terms with you when it comes to the Hyuga Clan. After all, it's Konoha's number one clan."
"Those people only care about my father's family estate... Naruto is different."
Hinata was a little upset too. Ever since she was young, she had disliked the clan's social circle. Those people could calmly sell off their own children for profit. Fortunately, she had a good father, who rejected every proposal for Political Marriage.
"What's different about him? Doesn't he go around shouting about marrying into your family?"
"Don't badmouth Naruto! You don't understand Naruto's kindness at all!"
Hinata bristled like an angry cat. Though she was usually easygoing and soft-tempered, anything involving Naruto made her strong.
"Fine, fine. He's just a Dead Last..."
Kiba gave up arguing with Hinata. In his heart, he looked down on Naruto, who constantly talked about becoming Hokage. How could a Dead Last who always wanted to marry into a family possibly become Hokage?
"Kiba, I might be hallucinating. The Dead Last you mentioned is walking toward us from the other side of the river."
"What, shouldn't you be seeing your dead Grandfather waving at you from across the river?"
Hearing the surprise in Shino's voice, Kiba looked up and saw Naruto really was walking over from the opposite bank. He stepped across the water's surface, ripples spreading beneath his feet as he approached one step at a time.
"Hinata, I was just about to go find you at your house. What a coincidence."
The moment Naruto reached the shore, he went straight to Hinata and happily hugged her.
"Welcome back, Naruto."
After her initial surprise, Hinata began enjoying Naruto's embrace. It would have been a lie to say she had not missed him after half a month apart. Now that she saw him, she could only respond with the warmth of a wife.
"Woof."
"Akamaru, you're annoyed too, right? Damn it, looking down on us single dogs."
Both Akamaru and Kiba cried out unhappily. Showing off their affection right in front of them was too much. They had not considered the feelings of onlookers at all.
"The mission's done? Then let's go home. I have a gift for you."
"Hold it, Dead Last! You're way too full of yourself!"
Just as Naruto was about to leave with Hinata, Kiba jumped in front of him and bared his fangs.
"Kiba, I still remember our promise."
"Promise?"
"Didn't you say you wanted to compete with me for the position of Hokage? I'll be waiting for you."
"Hold on, hold on. You're making it sound like you're already ahead of me. I don't like that. How about we spar right here?"
"Spar? Save that childish game for another time."
Naruto gave him an indifferent glance. Just that one look made Kiba's fur stand on end, while Akamaru, perched on his head, let out a low growl. It was a creature's instinctive reaction when facing something higher than itself on the food chain.
"This guy... he smells of blood..."
It was only after Naruto had led Hinata far away that Kiba came back to his senses, taking several deep breaths to calm down.
"Kiba, you're no match for Naruto right now. He's already killed someone, and he learned Chakra control techniques faster than you. Team Seven has already completed a C-Rank Mission."
Kurenai had appeared beside Kiba at some point and patted him on the shoulder.
"Damn it, Kurenai! Please train me properly. I'll settle things with him at the Chunin Exams!"
Kiba clenched his fists unwillingly. Being frightened by a Dead Last for that brief instant had dealt a heavy blow to his pride.
Hyuga Clan
"Hinata, this is a gift someone from the Land of Waves gave me. That country is really super poor, but everything they make is so thoughtful. Do you like it?"
Naruto took out a small box containing a tiny wave-shaped hair clip. The Land of Waves had no special products, and this hair clip was made of wood. It was not a particularly valuable gift.
"I like it. As long as it's from Naruto, I like it."
"That's good. Hmm, it looks beautiful."
Naruto clipped the hairpin into Hinata's bangs. Her purple hair gained a touch of decoration, and Naruto looked at the blushing Hinata with satisfaction as he praised her.
Stare—
"Why do I feel a chill down my back... Hinata, your little sister is watching me. What did I do?"
Naruto quietly turned his head and discovered Hanabi hiding at the corner of the house, glaring at him. He shivered and asked uneasily.
"Could she be waiting for your gift? I told Hanabi you would bring back souvenirs."
Hinata tilted her head in thought and tentatively voiced her sister's feelings.
"No way. Hanabi has such high status at home, would she still want a gift from me?"
Though it was a little harsh, Naruto could tell that Hanabi's status in the Hyuga Clan was far higher than Hinata's. She basically had whatever she wanted, so he deeply doubted Hinata's words.
"Did you prepare one, then?"
"I did, more or less. Sakura reminded me to buy something."
Naruto had not wanted to buy anything at first. Sakura was more thoughtful and reminded him that what mattered in a gift was the sentiment. Their relationship was already bad enough; if he ignored her existence too, he would probably really be kicked out of the house. So Naruto had bought gifts in a cold sweat.
"Hanabi, there's a gift for you too."
Hinata waved at Hanabi in the corner. Like a puppy being called over, her little sister came over and looked at Naruto expectantly.
"Well, there are two gifts. Which one do you like?"
Naruto held a wooden comb in his left hand and an oval red doll in his right. He looked at Hanabi nervously, hoping that even if she did not like them, she would not smash them over his head.
"I want both."
Hanabi looked over the two items. Both bore the special craftsmanship of the Land of Waves, and Hanabi, who had never left Konoha, was immediately intrigued. She domineeringly snatched both away.
"This thing is called a nesting doll... I haven't even explained it yet."
Watching Hanabi's retreating back, Naruto sighed. Sure enough, she was still angry because he had destroyed her garden. There was nothing he could do about that.
"Naruto, why does Hanabi get two gifts?!"
Hinata puffed out her cheeks, the young girl suddenly overcome with jealousy. Did that not make it seem as though Naruto liked her sister more?
"Because I didn't know what she liked. Sakura picked one of them. Since Hanabi has long hair, I thought the nesting doll was more fun."
"Is that so? Naruto, you were walking on water just now, right? How did you do that?"
Hinata's face flushed. She had not expected to get jealous of her sister without realizing it. With Hanabi's personality, she would probably only like Naruto if the world ended. Hinata immediately changed the subject.
"Hehe, listen closely, Hinata. This is an advanced Chakra technique Teacher Kakashi taught me. As long as you stick Chakra to the soles of your feet, you can walk in all kinds of environments."
Naruto could not wait to show off to Hinata. He walked up the wall, his feet sticking to it as he looked at her, his head gently touching her forehead to form a right angle.
"Naruto, you've gotten stronger again."
"Of course. I'll become even stronger from now on. Hinata, do you want to learn? I can teach you."
"Mm, I'll give it a try."
Half an hour later, Naruto stared at Hinata, who was already running all over the courtyard wall, and fell into deep thought. So he really was an idiot, huh?
"Naruto, you taught me well..."
Hinata stood on the wall and looked at Naruto, unsure how to speak. She had not expected to learn so quickly that she would hurt Naruto's fragile heart.
"Anyway, I'm just an idiot."
Remembering how it had taken him a full day and night to learn it, Naruto felt deeply unwilling to accept it. He had not realized that the Hyuga Clan's Gentle Fist required them to strike Chakra directly into an enemy's body. Their Chakra control had already reached a certain level of precision.
"That's not true, Naruto... Ah!"
Hinata panicked and fell from the wall. The Hyuga Clan's courtyard wall was not very high, but the fall could still hurt her. Naruto ran over without thinking and caught her, and they both fell to the ground.
"Naruto, are you okay?"
"I'm fine... Hinata, what are you hiding in front of your chest? It's so soft."
Since Hinata was lying on top of Naruto, his hand had happened to land on her chest. He lightly touched it, found it felt nice, and asked curiously.
"N-No, that, this is... No, not there, don't knead it..."
Hinata's cheeks immediately turned red, and she began stammering. Girls developed earlier, and she was too shy to let others know, so she wore loose clothing. Even Naruto, who spent every day with her, had never noticed.
"Is it a bun? I happen to be hungry."
Naruto was still foolishly touching her, not doing it deliberately. No adult had taught him proper biological knowledge. He only knew women had breasts, but he did not know when they began to grow, so the thought had never crossed his mind.
"It's not a bun, you idiot!"
Hinata ran away in embarrassment. Before Naruto could even stand, a smooth foot stepped onto his face and pressed down hard, as though it wanted to grind him into the dirt.
"You scum, you finally made a move on my sister! I'll have you arrested and sent to the security force. Don't even think about getting out for the rest of your life!"
Hanabi was furious. She had originally come to ask Naruto how to play with that toy, only to see him groping her sister all over. She was so angry that she had rushed over without even putting on her shoes properly and stomped Naruto several times.
"What are you talking about, Hanabi? I didn't do anything."
"You kneaded my sister's breasts and you still say it was nothing!"
"Breasts? You mean that was her..."
Naruto was left speechless. He looked at Hinata, who was hiding behind Hanabi with both hands covering her chest, and even he could not help blushing.
"I'm sorry."
"I-It's fine. If it's Naruto, it's fine."
"Sis, you're letting him off way too easily. Just throw him in prison!"
"Wait, it's just breasts, right? I have them too."
Naruto was shocked at the mention of prison. In shinobi rules, laying hands on a girl was a capital offense. He hurriedly came up with a way to remedy the situation.
"You?"
"Sexy Jutsu!"
Facing Hanabi's doubtful gaze, Naruto proved it with action. After a burst of smoke, a naked blonde woman appeared before Hanabi.
"Well? Full and beautiful, right? They're way bigger than Hinata's. You can knead them for as long as you want."
Female Naruto, with twin ponytails, thrust out her proud breasts and looked smugly at Hanabi. She had put a great deal of effort into perfecting the Sexy Jutsu and had no idea how many times she had been beaten for it.
"Ah, ahhh, shameless!!!"
Poor Hanabi had never seen such an erotic sight. Even though they were both female, Naruto's appearance shocked her speechless. Once she came to her senses, she screamed, punched Naruto, covered her face, and ran away.
"Why is she angry again..."
That punch had used all her strength and directly broke Naruto's Transformation Jutsu. Naruto lay on the ground, muttering to himself.
"Naruto really doesn't understand a woman's heart."
