Caroso rescued Nimel from the poison men, then made her reflect on her performance and comforted her when she felt discouraged. They opened the laboratory doors and entered a corridor lined with jars containing darker poison people, heading deeper into the lab.
Caroso and Nimel confronted the Underworld Flower and six child poison-men, and Caroso discovered the flower was a follower-like card creature that could not play cards. Caroso defeated it with Silence, Frenzy, and two Devourers, leaving Nimel to confirm the battle was over.
Caroso and Nimel cleared the hidden room by using a special Priest spell and Caroso’s card-making skills. They found legendary materials and equipment, and Caroso agreed to use the robe to build a connection with Teresa, while Nimel concealed that she simply did not want to wear it.
Teresa and her allies held off the dean while Caroso fought the cultists elsewhere in the dungeon. Caroso returned victorious, and he and Teresa killed the dean before their side finished off the remaining enemies.
Caroso and Nimel returned from the Fallen Laboratory dungeon, where 89 of 120 challengers survived and Caroso earned an S++ rating. After refusing the headmaster’s offer of credits and scholarships, Caroso left with Nimel, still puzzled by the strange subtitles that had appeared inside the dungeon.
Caroso learned that the dungeon’s mysterious subtitles had appeared to the Netizens but not to him, and decided to postpone investigating them until he was stronger. He returned to school, where Bai announced a card-making competition with a legendary revolver and personal training from Professor Alita Salazar as prizes.
Bai told Caroso that students from two schools would visit for an exchange, then taught a lesson on concealing card-making methods. After class, Caroso recounted how he had infiltrated the enemy dungeon and crafted cards there, leaving the Vice Principal and Bai struck by how smoothly everything had gone.
Caroso took three days off from the academy and traveled to Azure Wolf Province with Krumen, who feared he wanted to take advantage of her. They arrived at his home, where Osiris was surprised to see him.
Caroso returned to Azure Wolf Province with Krumen and showed Osiris a valuable card obtained in a dungeon. Osiris rewarded him with command of the Sixth Army’s Seventeenth Division, and Caroso rejected the royal family’s proposed marriage to Elena Roland before preparing to return to school.
Grand Duke Kolia negotiated a deal with the Perus King to produce Azure Wolf Province’s Hand of Greed card, while Caroso considered how to build his own strength and returned to school. The chapter left Caroso arriving as a helicopter approached and someone called his name.

Caroso fought Teresa after she arrived by helicopter, and the two renewed their friendship before the academy exchange began. When Merlin arrived with Avalon Academy, Caroso recognized Nimel’s brother and learned through the Netizens’ revelations that Merlin had a surprisingly embarrassing private life.
Caroso returned to class and chose Nimel as his card-making assistant for the exchange meeting. When he and Bai went to find her, Nimel confronted her estranged brother Maren, and Caroso attacked him as he approached her.
Caroso explained why Nimel's former family had traded her away and revealed that he had known Maren stole her staff, while Bai teased him about being jealous of Nimel. At the cardmaker exchange, the competition rules and materials were announced, and Caroso declared that he wanted to make a card by himself.
Caroso spent most of the three-day cardmaking competition mentally simulating a new design before finally crafting an Epic card from the limited materials. The chapter ended with the card’s purple glow confirming his success, though its versatility and the competition’s result remained unknown.
Caroso won the cardmaker competition by creating the Epic follower Raging Element, then collapsed from exhaustion and fell asleep. The Prince learned that Grand Duke Kolia would go to war if Caroso were killed in the royal capital, while the King asked how the kingdom could salvage the exchange meet.
Caroso accepted the academy’s challenge to face Teresa in the warrior exchange, and the two fought an increasingly brutal, evenly matched duel. The fight left them battered and still swinging as the headmaster arrived.
Caroso and Teresa fought to a draw, becoming friends before Caroso collected his reward and reunited with Nimel. As Krumen escorted Nimel away, Maren stopped her to explain, and Nimel slapped him with her glove.
Nimel rejected Maren’s attempt to reclaim their sibling relationship and challenged him to a duel. She exposed that he still had her staff and used her cards and mage abilities to gain the upper hand, leaving Maren overwhelmed.
Nimel defeated Maren in the arena and continued beating him after he tried to surrender, insisting she was following Caroso’s example. Merlin asked the Vice Principal to arrange a meeting with Caroso, while Alita remained unavailable unless Merlin met the tournament champion.
Caroso visited Professor Alita and learned that she needed Water of Blessing and New Moon Gold to make a curse-resistant leg for her father. He promised to retrieve the rare material from a third-tier dungeon, and Alita agreed to work for him if he succeeded.
After his card-crafting exchange victory, Caroso returned to class, reviewed his test scores, and asked for another week of leave. He told Elena he planned to accompany Teresa and build ties with her, while Elena worried that their relationship might become a political match.
Merlin invited Caroso to join Utopia, presenting it as a mobile, armed mutual-aid organization for researchers. Caroso declined to commit, and afterward told Teresa’s exchange group that he valued them over Utopia.
Caroso recruited Teresa to help him enter a dangerous third-tier dungeon in five days, then attended the warrior exchange meeting. Teresa told him that his controlled fighting style might be holding back his strength, leaving him to consider whether emotion could help him reach his potential.
Caroso struggled with Teresa’s advice about emotion before joining the card maker exchange, where his critiques and ideas sparked debate and taught him as much as they taught the other students. He explained that his epic card traded combat power for discounted card draws, and the audience applauded its practical value.
