Bibi Dong’s Disciple

Bibi Dong raised Hu Liena from childhood, regarded her as a daughter, and trained her to become Spirit Hall’s next Pope. She sent Hu Liena to the City of Slaughter and arranged protection from Chrysanthemum Ghost Douluo 254 318.

At the end of Bibi Dong’s life, she sent a trace of her power into Hu Liena. This intervention allowed Hu Liena to survive injuries that otherwise would have killed her 2 254.

Life After Spirit Hall’s Fall

After Spirit Hall’s defeat, Hu Liena and Qian Renxue lived together in the Angel Temple and formed a sister-like bond through hardship. Although Hu Liena retained her strength, her identity as the former regime’s Saintess left her socially isolated 2 9.

Tang San’s destruction of Spirit Hall’s leadership and conversion of its branches into toilets deeply humiliated both women. Hu Liena blamed him for destroying their former lives and remained loyal to Spirit Hall 6 20 254.

Moving to God King Palace

Su Chen entered their lives during the confrontation with Great Hammer Douluo. Hu Liena soon began teasing Qian Renxue about her interest in him and encouraged her to stay at God King Palace. Both women moved into the palace, whose environment offered improved living and cultivation conditions 2 6 10.

The gains from Su Chen’s tea renewed Hu Liena’s hope in cultivation. Previously, she had seen little purpose in improving when even reaching godhood would leave her facing seven enemy gods; she began regarding Su Chen as a source of hope for herself and Qian Renxue 8.

Qian Renxue gave Hu Liena the Ocean Goddess’s divine seat after Hu Liena massaged her and Su Chen. The inheritance initially appeared straightforward, but its divine power overwhelmed Hu Liena. Qian Renxue’s attempt to help with Angel Divine Power worsened the burning sensation, and Su Chen ultimately stabilized her condition 93 94 95.

Later, Golden Dragon King meat caused another severe physical reaction. After Su Chen tended to her, Hu Liena discovered that her Martial Soul had evolved into a God-tier Nine-tailed Fox, overcoming a weakness that had continued to restrict her even as the Ocean Goddess 252 253.

Succession, Revival, and Motherhood

Hu Liena and Qian Renxue mourned together when Su Chen recovered Bibi Dong’s body. After Bibi Dong returned, she publicly passed the position of Spirit Hall Pontiff to Hu Liena during Qian Renxue’s wedding 253 254 266 267.

Hu Liena later lay in a crystal coffin with her soul slowly gathering. A black beam struck the coffin, rapidly completed her soul’s condensation, and returned it to her divine body. Qian Renxue’s examination found both her soul and body normal 287.

Hu Liena concealed her pregnancy because she feared damaging her bond with Qian Renxue. When Bibi Dong discovered it and confronted Su Chen, Qian Renxue overheard the discussion and welcomed the news. Hu Liena subsequently gave birth to Su Chen’s daughter, Su Na’er 317 318.

Hu Liena is playful, flirtatious, and quick to provoke the people closest to her. Early in the story, her outwardly fiery manner contrasts with a more conservative private disposition. As her relationships develop, she becomes increasingly direct in teasing both Su Chen and Qian Renxue 2 10 77 117.

She is competitive and proud, especially about card games and clothing choices. Her confidence can become overconfidence: she dismisses Qian Renxue’s warnings during a card game and loses a wager that obliges her to wash her hair upside down 185 216.

Jealousy frequently exposes her vulnerability. She resents being overlooked beside Qian Renxue, wants equal signs of affection from Su Chen, and cries when his teasing compounds her feelings of exclusion. Nevertheless, she is sincerely happy when Qian Renxue restores her divine position and finds love 73 116 117.
