Not long after Moriyue made the suggestion, Kaede nodded and gladly agreed. Something that sounded like it would get them targeted by a whole bunch of people... just thinking about it sounded lively. She could hardly wait.
She just did not know whether she could make any friends this way. But then again, if she agreed to Moriyue's request, those people would definitely remember them deeply, right?
What bad intentions could she possibly have? She merely wanted to make the exam more exciting.
Seeing Kaede agree to his request, Moriyue chuckled softly. This made him even more confident. With their current strength, aside from a few troublesome individuals, would the rest not be easy pickings?
"Time is of the essence. Let's go and set up an ambush on that unavoidable route."
Moriyue quickly planned out their route. To reach their agreed location sooner, he stopped using the Nintaijutsu that had been tempering his body along the way. Sure enough, once he stopped torturing himself, running became much easier. It felt as refreshing as popping a piece of gum and piloting a Gundam.
The four-person team raced through the desert like a gust of wind. None of them were ninjas in the traditional sense, after all. What ninja could keep sprinting nonstop and run as fast as the wind?
Under the blazing sun, the desert never lacked only two things: sand and unbearable heat.
Following their planned route, Moriyue and the others arrived at the unavoidable path leading to the Desert Tower. There was only one narrow trail here, with steep cliffs on both sides. To reach the finish line, this was both the fastest route and the only route.
More than a few groups shared Moriyue's idea. Everyone knew the saying: when the snipe and clam fought, the fisherman profited.
