Over the next few days, Gu Ding picked divine herbs, slew battlefield creatures, raided bird nests, and headed toward a ruin along the route arranged by Sea Emperor.
Less than a kilometer from the ruin, Gu Ding stopped. Standing on the branch of a giant tree, he looked toward the coordinates Sea Emperor had indicated.
After examining the area with the naked eye and finding nothing, Gu Ding activated his Black Eyes and finally noticed something unusual.
The ruin was buried underground and hidden extremely well. If Sea Emperor had not alerted him, Gu Ding might truly have missed it.
"Good thing the battlefield only opened recently. This ruin is so well hidden that no one has probably discovered it yet."
After observing the area for a while, Gu Ding leaped down and appeared near the marked location. Without his Black Eyes, he would probably still be searching everywhere for an entrance, because there was no visible sign of anything unusual.
Gu Ding used an earth-element escape technique to slowly sink into the soil, then swiftly dove downward.
After descending more than three thousand meters, he finally saw the ruin's full appearance beneath the earth. It was a crimson-gold Underground Palace, sprawling across a vast area like an endless subterranean mountain range.
Gu Ding slowly descended and landed before the Underground Palace's main gate. On the plaque above it were three large characters: Netherworld Palace.
Gu Ding stared blankly. "Netherworld Palace? Is this place related to the Hell Plane?"
On guard, Gu Ding activated his Black Eyes and surveyed the surroundings. Finding nothing abnormal, he reached out and pushed open the gates.
Gu Ding had assumed that, after being buried underground for so long, the Ancient Hall's gates would be difficult to open. Yet they yielded with barely any resistance.
