Miko's Scheme

"Who's chasing me?"

After fleeing several light-years, Miko finally reunited with Sea Emperor and sent him a telepathic message.

"It's Melissa." Sea Emperor's brow remained tightly furrowed. He still could not think of a good countermeasure.

"Isn't she human? Why does she want to attack me? I don't remember her being an Interstellar Hunter." Miko asked in confusion.

"I don't know why she's targeted you either, but our situation is very troublesome. That woman's soul detection ability seems unaffected by the restrictions of this ruin. She came straight for you from hundreds of light-years away." Sea Emperor was somewhat helpless as well.

"If that's the case, we can't escape with her detection range. What level is her Combat Strength?" Miko quickly began gathering information on his opponent.

"She's on the same level as Gu Ding and Bigge, perhaps even stronger. I saw her kill a Sixth Sequence undead creature with a single slash." The intelligence Sea Emperor provided was clearly not good news.

"Then this is troublesome. The gap in Combat Strength is too great; even if the two of us join forces, our chances of winning aren't high." Miko frowned slightly. "Have you notified Brother Gu Ding and the others?"

"I can't contact them. My Local Area Network seems to be suffering interference from some unknown energy. No matter how I call through the communicator or send messages, none of you can see them. Otherwise, I wouldn't have rushed over by myself..." Sea Emperor explained.

"I thought you came on your own because you were closer to me..." Miko had not expected Sea Emperor's Local Area Network to malfunction. There had never been such a problem before. "Can the network interference be eliminated?"

"Not in the short term. I can't determine where the interference is coming from right now.
