Sea Emperor's Bold Decision

No one knew what Sea Emperor and Melissa had said in the end.

Gu Ding only saw Futu revert to Melissa's appearance and leave.

After Melissa left, Sea Emperor became rather taciturn. Whenever anyone asked about Melissa, he brushed the questions aside with all sorts of excuses.

Seeing that Sea Emperor was unwilling to talk, Gu Ding stopped asking.

Not long after Melissa left, the communications system returned to normal. After receiving Sea Emperor's message, Liliath and the others immediately called to ask what had happened. Sea Emperor only replied, "It's fine now." In the end, Gu Ding had to step in and say that he, Sea Emperor, and Miko were together before everyone was somewhat reassured.

After a day of travel, the ruins world entered the night, and the sky began to darken.

The ruins world was more active at night. Undead creatures moved through the night like fish in water, and their Combat Strength increased considerably.

Seeing that Sea Emperor was not himself, Gu Ding simply decided to stop and let everyone rest for the night.

Sea Emperor lit a campfire by himself and stared blankly at the flickering flames.

Gu Ding lay on the sand not far away, his hands behind his head as he gazed up at the stars.

"Brother Gu Ding, what's wrong with Sea Emperor?" Miko suddenly came over and sat down a short distance away from Gu Ding, sending the question telepathically. Even invisible Miko had noticed the change in Sea Emperor.

"It's nothing. He just needs some time alone." Gu Ding shook his head with a smile. He glanced in Sea Emperor's direction. Sea Emperor was still staring blankly into the fire, seemingly unaware of their conversation.
