Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!
All the small gears gathered in formations across every direction began to turn. The sharp weapons held horizontally gave off bursts of piercing whistles as they sliced through the air, like windmills spinning at high speed.
The circular gears worked together with extraordinary coordination. With only three arm-lengths between each small gear, plus the length of their weapons, they formed narrow paths just wide enough for a zombie to walk through. Once everyone raised their weapons, the gaps along those paths could be blocked off. Unless a zombie was smart enough to duck and squeeze through, it had no choice but to line up and force its way in one by one.
Each gear also had a specific direction of rotation. It was clearly the result of the Wolf Fang Regiment members' skilled coordination after this tactic had long been perfected through training.
Gears!
And not just any gears, but interlocking Gear Formations! Once they began turning, they forcibly diverted and scattered the zombie horde.
Any zombie that entered the Gear Formation had no choice but to follow the paths dictated by the tactic. No matter how high its rank, there was nothing it could do.
Ever seen a washing machine? If not, then have you seen a watch?
That was exactly what it looked like!
Zombies were stupid. No matter how high-ranked they were, they could not escape one word:
Stupid!
They were neither humans nor mutant beasts. They could not possibly understand this endlessly whirling formation of human-shaped gears. Their movements were simply restricted, forcing them to walk forward uncontrollably while the rotating weapons attacking their faces left them battered and bloodied.
The first row of gears could not kill Rank Four or Rank Five zombies in a single rotation, but when hundreds upon hundreds
