Arc 26The Battle for Chers

The Federation seized control of Earth, negotiated Zerg support, and joined Aliya’s forces against the Purgatory Legion. After Lin Yu wounded Hypnos and Wang Hai killed a Purgatory leader, the arrival of Heg’s First Legion near the Boötes Void left the Federation facing a new threat.

  • Lin Zhen’s forces secured Earth’s officials and military leaders, while Lin Yu exposed the parasite controlling Brandt and contacted Aliya to demand talks.
  • Lin Fan negotiated a deal with Aliya for Zerg territory in exchange for Federation aid, then led an eighty-five-billion-warship fleet toward Chers as Hypnos threatened the city.
  • Lin Yu brought the Melova into battle, wounded Hypnos with a Dark Energy attack, and drove him to escape through a spatial passage.
  • The Federation and Zerg pursued the retreating Purgatory Legion, and Wang Hai’s concealed Decapitation Fleet killed Ao La and inflicted heavy losses on the enemy.
  • Tara opened a teleportation channel for the surviving Purgatory leaders to escape, while Wang Hai and Lin Fan prepared to destroy the remaining clan-level creatures.
  • Aliya’s Void Predators attacked the wounded Hypnos at the Boötes Void, but Purgatory leaders freed the possessed creatures and left Hypnos near death.
  • Galon sent Heg’s First Legion through a Black Hole Channel, and Heg reached Hypnos and began arranging his recovery.
  • Lin Fan established a base in the Sasar Starfield, while Liang Xue sent a reconnaissance ship toward an enormous energy source near the Boötes Void.
Chapters 627–651 Vol. 7 Read

Ch. 627Dimensional Strike (Part 1)

Lin Yu’s fleet began an operation to expose and capture parasites in the Federation, while the Dark Energy Alliance staged a fake rebellion to draw out those controlling Earth’s leadership. The chapter ended with Lin Zhen and other officials heading into Eternal Fortress as the Central Guard Corps prepared to face the encircling fleet.

  • Lin Yu confirmed that Wang Hai would lead the staged rebel force, and Wang Hai agreed to carry out the mission without casualties.
  • Liang Sen told Lin Zhen that a rebel fleet would appear over Earth and explained the plan to escort officials into Eternal Fortress.
  • A million unmarked Nether Class Warships encircled Earth as its orbital defenses went offline and its garrison fleet remained away on exercises.
  • The Dark Energy Alliance broadcast an ultimatum demanding the Federation’s leaders surrender, shocking Durant and the Central Guard Corps.
  • Lin Zhen ordered the Special Operations Squadron to escort him and more than thirty officials, including Ed, toward Eternal Fortress.

Ch. 628Dimensional Strike (Part 2)

Lin Zhen secured the President and senior officials inside the Eternal Fortress after Special Squadron members revealed that parasites had controlled them. Meanwhile, Wang Hai launched a no-fatalities assault on the Central Guard Corps, and the orbital forces cleared its defenses before the ground troops began descending.

  • Liang Sen’s Special Squadron restrained and injected the officials inside the Eternal Fortress, then reported to Lin Zhen that all targets were secured.
  • Lin Zhen gave the department heads files showing that parasites had controlled officials and military personnel, including Ed, and told them to prepare to repair the damage caused by Lin Fan’s operation.
  • Wang Hai ordered the Dark Energy Mech Corps and Dark Energy Assault Corps to descend on the Central Guard Corps, insisting that no one be killed, and personally headed to the front lines.
  • After learning that Lin Zhen and the officials were safe, Wang Hai ordered the mechs to clear the target area’s air defenses before the assault troops landed.
  • The mechs’ Dark Energy Barriers withstood the ground’s anti-air fire, and they cleared the defenses around the Central Guard Corps garrison and Presidential Palace in ten minutes.
  • Orbital Drop Ships carrying assault troops began descending to storm and suppress the Central Guard Corps garrison.

Ch. 629Clash Between Dark Energy Users

Durant realized that the invaders were regular forces from Interstellar Fleet Headquarters, not rebels, and ordered the Dark Energy Squadron to stop them at any cost. Zhang Sai’s 201st Squadron engaged an assault squad in Sector D-021, where the enemy surrounded them but held back instead of attacking.

  • Durant learned that the invaders were restraining Central Guard Corps personnel without killing them and concluded that they were the Nether Fleet.
  • Durant ordered the Dark Energy Squadron to deploy at all costs, prompting Zhang Sai to give the 201st Squadron one minute to withdraw; no one left.
  • In Sector D-021, a Dark Energy assault squad subdued the remaining Central Guard Corps defenders and advanced toward the next sector.
  • Zhang Sai recognized the invaders’ military coordination and suspected they belonged to the Nether Fleet’s Dark Energy Assault Corps.
  • The 201st Squadron was surrounded at the intersection as reinforcements arrived, while the invaders maintained a defensive posture.
  • Zhang Sai handed command to Lance and prepared to find an escape route for the squadron.

Ch. 630Wang Hai's Classmate

Zhang Sai nearly sacrificed himself to break the Dark Energy Squadron through the enemy formation, but Wang Hai stopped his uncontrolled Dark Energy and revealed that he led the force. At the Central Guard Corps command center, Lin Yu arrived and identified the captured Brandt as a parasitic Zerg war insect.

  • Zhang Sai ordered Lance to take command and charged the enemy formation while his squad deployed a joint Dark Energy Barrier.
  • The defenders halted their attacks, and Wang Hai appeared before Zhang Sai, stabilized his Dark Energy, and revealed he was the rebel force's leader and a B-Class Dark Energy Manipulator.
  • Wang Hai told Zhang Sai to stop resisting and took him to the command center after learning that Brandt had been captured and Lin Yu was heading to Earth.
  • At headquarters, Zhang Sai was stunned by Wang Hai's Major General rank, and Lin Yu recalled that Brandt had taken Zhang Sai from the Nether Fleet after his academy graduation.
  • Lin Yu approached the restrained Brandt and identified him as a parasitic Zerg war insect, shocking Wang Hai and Zhang Sai.

Ch. 631It Was Time We Had a Proper Talk

Lin Yu’s forces captured the Zerg parasites infiltrating the Central Guard Corps and secured the Presidential Palace. Lin Zhen then asked Ed to contact Queen Aliya and tell her that it was time for a proper talk.

  • Lin Yu explained that tiny Zerg parasites could control hosts and access their memories, and revealed that his forces had captured every infiltrator in the Central Guard Corps.
  • Lin Yu assured Zhang Sai that Durant could be freed from the parasite without being harmed, and Zhang Sai urged the soldiers not to injure Durant while restraining him.
  • Lin Yu reported that the Presidential Palace and Central Guard Corps garrison had been secured, while Lin Zhen warned him about the panic and political fallout caused by the operation.
  • Lin Zhen had Ed’s Zerg Mental Network block removed and asked him to contact Queen Aliya with a message: it was time they had a proper talk.

Ch. 632Aliya at the End of Her Rope

Lin Fan learned that Lin Zhen had blamed him for the injuries caused by the live exercise, while Aliya’s war against the Purgatory Legion deteriorated after Hypnos recovered and grew stronger. After the Federation captured the Void Predators working with her, Aliya agreed to speak with Lin Zhen the next day, hoping to draw the Federation into the conflict.

  • Lin Fan watched news reports in which Lin Zhen blamed him for the exercise injuries, and Lin Fan decided future exercises should target the Federation President without warning.
  • Hypnos returned to the battlefield stronger, and his Purgatory Legion tore through Aliya’s Zerg forces despite her numerical advantage.
  • Aliya lost nearly twenty percent of her royal Zerg and was left with only three star regions in the Vilsert Supercluster, leaving Chers at risk.
  • The Void Predator controlling Ed told Aliya that the Federation had captured all its kin and had captured him as well.
  • Aliya learned that Lin Zhen had deliberately opened the Zerg Mental Network so the Void Predator could pass along his request for a proper talk.
  • Aliya agreed to connect with Lin Zhen the next day, hoping to bring the Federation into her war.

Ch. 633Humans and Insects Negotiate Again

Lin Fan and Lin Zhen confronted Queen Aliya over the insect race’s actions and used its worsening war against the Purgatory Creatures to press for terms. Aliya acknowledged that her race needed Federation aid, but negotiations ended before the Federation stated what it wanted.

  • Lin Zhen accused Aliya of plunging the Federation into chaos through the insect race’s actions.
  • Lin Fan told Aliya that the insect race was close to losing the Viers Supercluster and warned that the Kebiniah Supercluster would be exposed if it fell.
  • Aliya argued that the Federation also needed the insect race as a buffer against the Purgatory Creatures.
  • Lin Fan countered that the Federation could destroy the Kebiniah Supercluster with a weapon like the one that had created the Boötes Void, then demanded to know what price the insect race would pay for help.
  • Aliya asked the Federation to name its terms, and Lin Fan began to state what it wanted.

Ch. 634Federation Joins the War

Lin Fan secured Aliya’s agreement to cede the Kebiniah Supercluster to the Federation in exchange for military aid, with thirty galaxy groups transferred immediately and the rest due after the Zerg retook the Viers Supercluster. After assembling an 85-billion-warship fleet in Kebiniah, Lin Fan ordered it toward the Vilsert Supercluster to join the war.

  • Lin Fan offered Aliya a deal requiring the Zerg to transfer thirty galaxy groups in Kebiniah immediately and the rest after retaking the Viers Supercluster.
  • Aliya accepted the agreement, believing the exchange would help secure Federation aid without costing her much.
  • By Federation Year 153, Aliya had transferred thirty galaxy groups to the Federation without delay.
  • The Federation assembled eighty-five billion warships in the Kebiniah Supercluster, and Lin Fan took command from the new Gonggong battle star.
  • Lin Fan ordered the fleet to depart for the Cosmic Current node in the Vilsert Supercluster.

Ch. 635The Worst-Case Scenario?

Lin Fan questioned Aliya’s deployment of Zerg forces after learning that Hypnos had vanished from the Sasar Starfield, raising the risk of an attack on Chers just before the Federal Fleet arrived. He prepared Lin Yu to lead the fleet’s first echelon into a possible battle with Hypnos, and Lin Yu revealed he might be close to becoming an S-Class Dark Energy Manipulator.

  • Aliya reported that the Purgatory Legion would be held in Sasar for at least a month, but Lin Fan worried that her concentration of Zerg forces there had left Chers vulnerable.
  • Hypnos suddenly vanished from the Sasar Starfield, and Lin Fan warned that it might be heading for Chers while the Federal Fleet was still in the Cosmic Current.
  • Lin Fan contacted Lin Yu and explained that Hypnos could reach Chers before the fleet arrived, leaving the city in chaos under attack.
  • Lin Yu said he would face the danger as part of the first echelon, while Liang Xue urged him to be careful.
  • Lin Yu revealed that he was near advancement from an A-Class to an S-Class Dark Energy Manipulator, shocking the command center.

Ch. 636Aliya's Crisis

Aliya realized Hypnos had vanished from the battlefield and had left Chers dangerously underdefended by sending nearly all her forces to Sasar. Hypnos and his kin-level Void Dragons attacked, forcing Aliya to sacrifice Queen Bugs to block his beam before escaping through a Bug Nest Channel, while Lin Yu learned of the assault and remained unconcerned.

  • Aliya noticed Hypnos was missing and realized his disappearance had left Chers exposed.
  • Hypnos emerged from a spatial passage with kin-level Void Dragons, and Aliya recognized that she had too few forces at Chers to stop him.
  • Hypnos fired at Aliya, who controlled thirty-two Tier 1 Queen Bugs to form a defensive line; twenty-four Queen Bugs were destroyed or damaged before one finally blocked the beam.
  • Aliya opened a Bug Nest Channel to a point 5 AU away and escaped with the surviving Queen Bugs, leaving the swarms at Chers to face Hypnos and his kin.
  • Lin Yu received Bai Xuan's battle report about Hypnos's surprise attack on Chers and said it was not a major problem as long as Hypnos had not sealed the Cosmic Current exit.

Ch. 637Hypnos's Fury

Aliya struggled to hold Chers against Hypnos until Lin Yu arrived aboard the Melova with the Federal Fleet. Hypnos recognized the warship and unleashed a devastating attack as Lin Yu prepared its defenses.

  • Hypnos overwhelmed Aliya's forces, while Aliya tried to buy time for the Federal Fleet by leading the Queen Bugs away and sending other bugs to fight.
  • Aliya's forces suffered heavy losses as Hypnos and nearly a hundred million Void Dragons attacked Chers.
  • Lin Yu ordered the Melova to leave the Cosmic Current and enter the battlefield.
  • Hypnos recognized the Melova as the warship that had eluded him a year earlier and charged a powerful beam at it.
  • Lin Yu received control of the Melova through the Warship-type DEAC and ordered layered Dark Energy Barriers constructed before impact.

Ch. 638Crippling Blow

Lin Yu used the Melohua’s Warship-type DEAC to repel Hypnos and wound him severely, but the attack also badly damaged the warship. With the follow-up fleet still three minutes away, the battle left both sides weakened.

  • Hypnos’s strongest attack failed to break through the Melohua’s Dark Energy Barrier, which lost 15.7% integrity.
  • Bai Xuan warned Lin Yu that Hypnos remained within striking range of the Federal Fleet, so Lin Yu ordered the warship to construct seven mirrors and fire a Dark Energy Particle Compression Stream.
  • Hypnos’s defenses collapsed under the beam, and he used his wings and body to withstand it, leaving him badly wounded and bleeding purple blood.
  • The Melohua suffered heavy damage from the attack, including a 9.5% DEAC damage rate, reduced Dark Energy supply, and an offline Near-light Speed Engine.

Ch. 639Asking Galon for Aid

Lin Yu wounded Hypnos with the Mellova’s Dark Energy Particle Compression Stream, forcing the Purgatory forces to retreat from the Sasar Starfield. Galon ordered Heg and the First Legion to support them, while Lin Fan instructed Lin Yu to harass the retreat and collect materials for the Academy of Biological Sciences.

  • Lin Yu’s attack severely wounded Hypnos and disabled the Mellova’s Near-light Speed Engine, but Hypnos escaped through a spatial passage with his Void Dragons.
  • Aura learned that the humans had injured Hypnos and decided the Purgatory forces needed to withdraw and report the incident to Galon.
  • Galon ordered Aura to protect Hypnos and said Heg would lead the First Legion to support them.
  • The Federal Interstellar Fleet’s new Gonggong arrived at Current Node Chers, and Lin Fan learned that the Purgatory forces were evacuating Sasar.
  • Lin Fan told Lin Yu to make the retreat difficult and bring back materials for the Academy of Biological Sciences.

Ch. 640Pursuit

After Hypnos escaped, the Purgatory Legion began evacuating the Sasar Starfield, and Lin Yu sent Federation forces to intercept them with help from the bug race. Ao La sensed the fleets approaching before his forces could finish withdrawing.

  • Ao La oversaw the Purgatory Legion’s slow evacuation while more than twenty Seventh Order Leader-class creatures opened a passage to send Hypnos away.
  • Lin Yu ordered Jiang Feng and Wang Hai’s legions to attack the retreating Purgatory Legion and requested temporary command authority over the local bug swarm.
  • Aliya arranged for ten Tier 1 Queen Bugs to accompany the Federation fleets as command relays for the swarm.
  • Federation engineering ships built a giant Stargate, and the Queen Bugs and fleets departed for the Sasar Starfield.
  • Ao La learned that only ten percent of his forces had evacuated and that Tala and the others needed another hour to recover.
  • Ao La sensed the arrival of fleets whose presence threatened the lives of Seventh Order Leader-class creatures.

Ch. 641Change of Target

Ao halted the Purgatory Legion’s retreat to hold off the human forces while its exhausted Seventh Order Leader-class creatures recovered. After Wang Hai identified those weakened creatures as the best targets, Jiang Feng agreed to attack them and inflict greater damage on the enemy.

  • Ao decided to pause the retreat and use the Purgatory Legion’s remaining forces to hold the humans back while the exhausted creatures recovered.
  • Jiang Feng and Wang Hai recognized that the Purgatory Legion had turned to fight rather than continue fleeing, making a direct attack risky for their two legions.
  • Wang Hai pointed out that twenty-four Seventh Order Leader-class creatures had remained behind, and scans showed that twenty-three had dangerously low biological energy levels.
  • Wang Hai concluded that the weakened creatures had exhausted themselves helping open the spatial passage that sent Hypnos away.
  • Wang Hai proposed targeting the weakened Leader-class creatures instead of focusing on clan-level troops, and Jiang Feng agreed to launch a major attack.

Ch. 642Entering the Final Stage

Wang Hai and Jiang Feng coordinated with Jiang Sen and the Zerg to hide a five-million-warship Decapitation Fleet and maneuver it behind the Purgatory Legion. The main fleet began attacking as the concealed force reached its position, setting up the final stage of the operation.

  • Wang Hai proposed using Zerg swarms as cover while scattered warships entered stealth, and Jiang Feng agreed to coordinate with Jiang Sen.
  • Wang Hai formed a five-million-warship Decapitation Fleet from ships scattered throughout the Nether Fleet.
  • Jiang Sen sent more than a thousand Zerg swarms to cover the fleet as the Decapitation Fleet vanished into stealth.
  • Wang Hai ordered the main fleet to retreat while the concealed warships moved behind the Purgatory Legion.
  • After the Decapitation Fleet reached its position, Wang Hai ordered a full attack, and the Nether Fleet's first salvo killed 1,815 clan-level creatures and severely wounded 31,279.

Ch. 643A Foolish Method

Wang Hai rotated Nether Fleet ships through a punishing close-range battle to draw the Purgatory Legion deeper into range for a larger attack. He began the operation’s final phase while the recovering Seventh Order Leader-class creatures remained behind the Legion, and Ola sensed something approaching.

  • Wang Hai replaced warships whose Dark Energy Shields had weakened, despite his adjutant’s concern that the reserve fleet was running low.
  • Wang Hai explained that the fleet’s close-range fighting was a deliberate tactic to draw the Purgatory Legion into firing range for a greater victory.
  • Wang Hai ordered the Decapitation Fleet to begin the fourth phase and retreat after one minute, regardless of the outcome.
  • A bear-like Seventh Order Leader-class creature and Tara criticized Ola for keeping Monba and the other recovered creatures in reserve.
  • Ola abruptly sensed something and turned toward its source.

Ch. 644Ola, Severely Wounded

Ola’s five million Nether Class Warships concentrated fire on the exhausted Seventh Order Leader-class creatures at the rear, badly wounding Ola despite his Defense Barrier. Wang Hai confirmed the Decapitation Fleet’s results and ordered its next attack to focus on Ola, while the main fleet pursued the retreating enemy from beyond firing range.

  • Ola realized the human fleet had retreated more than 2 AU away and could not be attacked before it struck first.
  • The human fleet focused five million attacks on the twenty-four Seventh Order Leader-class creatures, piercing the clan-level creatures’ defensive wall.
  • The exhausted Leader-class creatures suffered minor injuries, but Ola’s Defense Barrier was destroyed and he was severely wounded.
  • Wang Hai examined the attack results and suspected the badly wounded Ola was the enemy’s auxiliary sensory creature.
  • Wang Hai ordered the Decapitation Fleet to concentrate its next wave of attacks on Ola.

Ch. 645Fall

Wang Hai’s fleet killed Ao La, the Second Legion’s vital sensory support creature, despite Tara’s efforts to protect it. With the enemy now rushing to defend itself and the Decapitation Fleet at risk, Wang Hai ordered his forces to keep attacking from behind instead of striking again from close range.

  • Tara and the Purgatory Creatures rushed to shield Ao La as the Kin Class creatures formed a thicker wall of flesh around it.
  • Wang Hai ordered five million Nether Class Warships to fire a second volley at Ao La, piercing the wall and destroying its life core.
  • Wang Hai confirmed Ao La’s death and ordered the fleet to continue attacking from a safe distance.
  • Jiang Feng proposed striking the weakened leader-class creatures again, but Wang Hai explained that they could bring the Decapitation Fleet into range and instead ordered attacks on their disordered main force.

Ch. 646Sacrifice the Lesser to Save the Greater

After Wang Hai and Jiang Feng killed a Purgatory perception-type creature, Aliya prepared to use the Void Predators again while the remaining Purgatory leaders struggled to decide what to do. Galon ordered Picto to evacuate the surviving leaders and protect the wounded Hypnos, revealing that Heg would return within ten days.

  • Lin Fan learned that Wang Hai and Jiang Feng had killed a likely perception-type Seventh Order Leader-class creature and praised their success.
  • Aliya suspected the creature had enabled the Purgatory army to counter her Void Predators, so she sent two Void Predators to test a new plan.
  • After Ola's death, the Purgatory leaders pressed Tala to decide whether to fight or flee, but he hesitated.
  • Picto contacted Galon and reported Ola's death and the Second Legion's predicament.
  • Galon ordered Picto to evacuate Tala and the other surviving leaders, abandon as many clan-level creatures as necessary, and protect Hypnos until Heg returned within ten days.

Ch. 647Preparing the Harvest

The Purgatory Legion’s leader-class creatures escaped the Sasar Starfield, leaving more than two billion clan-class creatures behind as the human fleet attacked them. Lin Fan arranged reinforcements and concluded that the fleeing Purgatory Creatures were likely headed for the Zerg small world in the Boötes Void, where Lin Yu had left a trap.

  • Tara recovered enough strength to open a Space Teleportation Channel while Brock’s group directed the clan-class creatures’ retreat.
  • Wang Hai ordered the fleet to keep its distance and destroy as many Purgatory Creatures as possible while the leader-class creatures protected Tara.
  • Tara opened a channel, and the remaining leader-class creatures escaped with Aura’s corpse; Brock then ordered the others to retreat.
  • Wang Hai reported that 2.03 billion clan-class creatures remained, and requested firepower support to destroy as many as possible before they evacuated.
  • Lin Fan told Wang Hai that reinforcements could be dispatched in two hours and reasoned that the Purgatory Creatures were likely heading for the Zerg small world in the Boötes Void.

Ch. 648Aliya's Killing Blow

After the battle in the Sasar Starfield, Lin Fan reviewed the Federation’s losses and ordered the conventional fleet to take a reduced role until investigators determined why Purgatory Creatures had countered its Spatial Shields so effectively. In the Boötes Void, the wounded Hypnos learned Aura was dead and was struck by a surprise attack from two parasitized creatures, but the others subdued them and freed them from the Void Predators.

  • Liang Xue reported that the Federation had killed one Seventh Order Leader-class creature and 957 million clan-level creatures, while the conventional fleet lost seventeen warships and suffered severe damage to another 127.
  • Lin Fan ordered the Nether Fleet and Dauntless Fleet to handle pacification operations while the conventional fleet provided fire support, and he decided to accelerate the Phase Shield refit.
  • Hypnos woke in the Boötes Void and learned from Tara that Aura was dead.
  • Two Void Predator-controlled Leader-class creatures attacked the severely wounded Hypnos, sending him flying in Aliya’s killing blow.
  • Tara recognized that the attackers were parasitized, and nearly thirty Leader-class creatures restrained them and struck their bodies until both regained control.

Ch. 649The Special Kirin Clan

Aliya’s ambush left Hypnos near death, and the Purgatory Legion regrouped in panic while waiting for reinforcements. Two days later, Heg learned what had happened, and Galon revealed that the Kirin Clan could use Black Hole Channels to reach Hypnos in seven to eight days.

  • Two hours earlier, Aliya followed Brock through the Space Teleportation Channel, targeting the already wounded Hypnos instead of attacking the other leader-class creatures.
  • At the Boötes Void regrouping point, Brock and the other leaders rescued Hypnos and drove the Void Predators out of two possessed creatures, but Hypnos was left in suspended death.
  • The Purgatory leaders feared Galon’s anger and resolved to prevent further disasters while awaiting Heg and the First Legion’s reinforcements, which would take ten days.
  • Two days later, Heg rushed to Galon’s palace and learned that humans and the insect race had severely wounded Hypnos.
  • Heg offered to take the First Legion to attack, but Galon explained that the Kirin Clan could open Black Hole Channels and travel to Hypnos in seven to eight days.

Ch. 650Black Hole Channel

As Lin Fan prepared for a prolonged war against Purgatory, Galon opened a Black Hole Channel for Heg's First Legion to enter the universe. The legion emerged near the Boötes Void, where Lin Fan's forces detected its arrival.

  • Lin Fan established the Sasar Starfield as the Federal Expeditionary Force's base because he feared Purgatory had more forces than the one already encountered.
  • Galon opened a Black Hole Channel and warned Heg that the passage would last no more than ten days and that the legion must follow the universe wall.
  • Heg led Purgatory's First Legion through the black hole and followed a faint Cosmic Light along the universe wall for seven days.
  • Heg found a breach into the universe and led the legion through it before Galon's passage weakened further.
  • Lin Fan received an alarm about an enormous energy source appearing near the Boötes Void and ordered a full scan and reconnaissance deployment.

Ch. 651First Legion Arrives

Hege crossed the Black Hole Channel with the Purgatory First Legion and had Tanos heal Hypnos, who woke and learned that Galon had paid a price to send help. Hege then questioned Tal about the Zerg, humans, and recent events, while Lin Fan sent a Strategic Reconnaissance Ship toward the target location.

  • Tal and the Second Legion stayed to guard the Black Hole Channel after receiving Galon's order.
  • Hege emerged from the channel, found Hypnos, and ordered Tanos to heal him.
  • Tanos restored part of Hypnos's injuries, and Hypnos woke to find Hege beside him.
  • Hege told Hypnos that Galon had risked much to send him, then ordered Tal to report on the Zerg, humans, and recent events.
  • Liang Xue reported that a Strategic Reconnaissance Ship had gone through a Stargate to a point thirty AU from its target, unaware that the distance might not protect it from a Ninth Order creature.
