Background / History

Ning Rongrong is Ning Fengzhi's youngest daughter and Wang Xiao's maternal cousin. As a child, she was highly attached to Wang Xiao, routinely seeking him out to play because Ning Fengzhi rarely had time to accompany her. Though known as the continent's “number one little demoness,” she was notably obedient around Wang Xiao. 1

Wang Xiao left the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect without telling her. When she later found his farewell letter, Rongrong broke down crying and begged for his return. 2

By age eleven, she had become the sect's spoiled and arrogant “little demon king.” Her privileged upbringing let her be selective even about Soul Rings: she refused an over-eight-hundred-year earthworm Soul Beast because of its appearance. 53 54

When Wang Xiao returned to the sect and fought Ning Fengzhi, Rongrong repeatedly pleaded for her father's life. She was willing to offer her own life in exchange, demonstrating that her devotion to her family remained sincere despite her pampered behavior. 56

Rongrong later enrolled at Shrek Academy alongside Wang Xiao, Xiao Wu, Gu Yuena, and Zhu Zhuqing. She remained close to Wang Xiao, competed with the other girls for his attention, and regularly drew Zhu Zhuqing into group outings. 117
