Sarah did not care much about it, but Li Ang clearly did—he wore the Griffin Knight Sword at his waist, and it had already revealed its true form.

Since the sword had been concealed so carefully, it naturally could not be handed over to others lightly.

Just as Li Ang was feeling conflicted, a middle-aged man came down the steps of the main building.

The man was quite burly, even a little taller than Li Ang. He looked to be in his fifties, yet his hair and beard were still black as ink, unlike other nobles who appeared so aged.

Even at his current age, he could still be called quite charming. It was obvious that he must have been a handsome man in his youth.

"My lord... this is Lord Li Ang Griffin and his External Affairs Officer, Miss Sarah. They have come to register their newly developed territory with you."

A servant stepped forward to explain.

Baron Godric looked at the white Griffin banner against its black background in Sarah's hand and seemed briefly stunned. Then he carefully examined Li Ang.

Very carefully.

"Li Ang... young man, come with me."

"My lord, Lord Li Ang's weapon..."

The servant was quite dutiful and asked hesitantly.

"It is fine. You may leave... Tell the others that if Lord Li Ang visits in the future, he need not surrender his sword or be questioned. Bring him directly to see me."

Godric turned and gave the instruction, then beckoned Li Ang to follow him upstairs.

"It has been a long time since I last saw a Griffin banner... Please, have a seat."

The baron led the two of them into his reception room and waved the guards away from the door before sighing.

"Lord Godric, is there something wrong with my banner?"
