(Day 1)
This is a vast world of cultivation.
For endless ages, countless beings have absorbed the spiritual energy of heaven and earth, cultivating themselves to achieve immortality.
In a corner of this brand-new world...
A frame made of blocky obsidian suddenly appeared out of thin air above the ground. Within it, a white, semi-transparent light screen pulsed, drawing in and expelling white particles.
Suddenly! A blocky person burst out of the light screen!
Accompanied by the familiar yet alien white, distorted visuals of a Hell Gate, the prisoner, confined to this blocky, pixelated world for years, stepped into a new realm!
Passing through this unprecedented white Hell Gate, Fang Zheng, the blocky person with a simple, vacant expression, felt his mind, long shackled by mortal limitations, tremble. Tremendously excited, he rotated his head, taking in the sights of this new world.
He looked down at the blood-stained, dark brown earth beneath his feet.
This place wasn't made of blocks and pixels; like Earth, it possessed the detailed textures of all sorts of materials.
He managed to speak with some difficulty. "I... I..."
He looked up. "Huh?"
Fang Zheng hesitated. "This... the art style here seems a bit off?"
The intense excitement gradually cooled, making Fang Zheng realize something was wrong.
He looked up and saw a majestic, awe-inspiring pass towering into the sky.
What a grand existence it was!
So grand, it felt as if it were forged from the condensed mass-energy of every star, every planet, everything in an entire universe.
Looking out, a structure resembling a city wall stood between heaven and earth. Its left side stretched beyond sight, as did its right. Looking up, the expanse above was equally deep and boundless.
Misty gray fog swirled with streaks of white and colorful light, blanketing the sky and the horizon. Only this colossal, magnificent pass stood firm.
Fang Zheng could only see, in the unfathomably distant sky, a magnificent city wall covered in what appeared to be massive scars from blades, axes, fists, and palms, along with equally astonishingly large gates.
"What? What is this place? Why is it so big?"
"What are those points of light?"
Fang Zheng could see clusters of glowing points of light on the walls of the grand city, dots like pearls adorning and floating above the wall.
Puzzled, he pulled a telescope from his inventory, magnifying his vision as much as possible.
"Huh?!"
Fang Zheng peered closer again.
"Are those... stars?!"
On the walls of the majestic, colossal city, which were so unusually large they defied conventional physics and couldn't be viewed in their entirety, the scattered points of light, when magnified by the telescope, bore a striking resemblance to stars.
Fang Zheng even saw what appeared to be a solar corona erupting from one of the light points.
"Roar!"
"Chirp!"
Before Fang Zheng could observe or ponder further, inexplicable roars and bird cries echoed from the distant sky.
Fang Zheng was still marveling. "If those really are stars, what an absurdly built city!"
"Could this be a Xianxia World?"
Suddenly, above the distant pass in the sky, accompanied by the roars and bird cries, a tiny white streak of light and a minuscule spark of crimson fire descended from the impossibly high city wall. They raced and flew across the astonishingly vast land towards him.
Before Fang Zheng could even process it, let alone calculate their speed, a Flame Divine Sparrow as large as a small planet, and a Snow White Giant Tiger even larger, its body seemingly carved from neutron star material, had already charged before him.
Their speed was so astonishing that Fang Zheng couldn't react at all.
"Roar!"
The Snow White Giant Tiger lunged at him like a white supergiant star.
Although Fang Zheng couldn't immediately comprehend why he could still see the giant tiger, which seemed to have surpassed the speed of light, as the white giant tiger rapidly closed the distance from the city wall to him within mere seconds, Fang Zheng could clearly see its form expanding limitlessly, becoming a white curtain that enveloped heaven and earth.
As it was about to reach him, looking at the white sky pressing down, Fang Zheng could see that even the short hairs between its paw pads were many times larger than Mount Everest on Earth.
Unable to react, the blocky, pixelated figure standing in the void was swatted down by the Snow White Giant Tiger's claw.
Theoretically, an object of immense size, even if moving at incredible speed, would appear extremely slow when viewed from a microscopic perspective due to relative velocity.
However, the tearing speed of the tiger's claw was terrifyingly fast. It was not constrained by its supergiant star-like mass and moved with the frequency of an ordinary tiger.
Thus, it unleashed a terrifying speed that theoretically far surpassed the speed of light, reaching incalculable multiples!
Fang Zheng had no idea how many times this bizarre giant tiger had struck him with its golden claws.
Nor did he know how many times its fangs, each one so large that its tip resembled a continent bearing down on him, had torn at him.
All Fang Zheng knew was that when he finally regained his senses, all he saw was a brilliant golden shockwave engulfing his entire field of vision.
"BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!"
The roar that echoed through the heavens sounded in Fang Zheng's ears, but it couldn't inflict the slightest pain on his blocky body, nor could it drown out the other faint sounds Fang Zheng perceived.
The tiger's claws and fangs, theoretically traveling countless times faster than light, capable of shattering spacetime in an instant and destroying several supergalactic clusters, also failed to bring the slightest pain or damage to the blocky figure stunned at the entrance to the path to immortality.
The immortal and invincible body of Creative Mode seemed to work just as well in this brand-new world that appeared to have a Xianxia art style.
Amidst the seemingly endless, brilliant golden shockwaves, accompanied by equally loud sparrow cries, the flame sparrow, though much smaller than the giant tiger, was still as large as the moon, also launched its attack.
Blood-red, viscous flame fluid gushed from its beak, as large as two continents separating, at an equally incalculably terrifying speed.
A blood-colored stream of light, like a quasar eruption but with power exceeding it by several orders of magnitude, scoured and scorched the blocky figure enveloped by the brilliant golden shockwaves.
Years ago, shortly after suspecting he had transmigrated, Fang Zheng had already estimated his abilities through various means.
He knew very clearly that his blocky body and the refresh rate of Minecraft's three dimensions were the same as the tablet he played Minecraft on, with a maximum of only 120 frames per second.
In the blocky world of Minecraft, everything operated within this refresh rate, so this refresh rate, apart from limiting Fang Zheng's maximum block-placing speed, had no other issues.
But in this brand-new world that seemed to have a Xianxia art style, the flame sparrow and giant white tiger that suddenly emerged from the giant city in the sky moved far too fast, exceeding Fang Zheng's visual refresh rate by a wide margin.
Therefore, when the flame sparrow and the white giant tiger officially attacked, Fang Zheng couldn't see them at all; there wasn't even a single frame of them in his vision.
It wasn't until 8.33 milliseconds after the attack began, when the first frame refreshed in Fang Zheng's vision, that he slowly began to react.
"I'm being attacked!"
Enveloped by the interweaving golden shockwaves and blood-red divine flames, Fang Zheng was still dazed.
"Space... is shattered?"
He could clearly see that the space around him, under the ravages of this attack, no longer seemed like an intangible entity but was like crumpled silk, folding into a multitude of prism-like layers.
Amidst the unceasing roar, Fang Zheng could still hear a low hum like metal scraping. Golden-red and pitch-black patterns, like a spiderweb, appeared on the space outside his blocky body.
The golden-red patterns were like chains, firmly embedded in the pitch-black patterns, binding and reinforcing them to prevent their spread.
Fang Zheng watched with great surprise. He could see that the brightness of his current location was terrifying, yet his vision was completely unaffected, unlike humans who would be blinded by excessively bright light and have other details obscured.
He could clearly see that within the viscous shockwaves, brighter blood-red and brilliant gold patterns formed countless abstract symbols, like living things, that twisted and changed, resembling birds in flight and beasts in combat, enclosing him.
Runes imbued with the ultimate law intertwined to form chains of law, forcefully suppressing spacetime in this area while making space itself increasingly viscous, like hardening divine metal or molten gemstone.
At this moment, the Vermilion Bird and White Tiger law projections of the formidable pass on the path to immortality, after suppressing the audacious ant that had invaded the pass, the two law projections acted as if they were truly alive.
The White Tiger, as massive as a supergiant star like Betelgeuse, lay leisurely on the ground, licking its fur, while the moon-sized Vermilion Bird stood on one of the White Tiger's hairs, grooming its feathers, as if it were a bacterium.
As guardian true immortals who suppressed the formidable pass of the immortal realm before the ancient era, a projection of their law was inscribed on the immortal realm's barrier in the distant past.
Even though the immortal realm of the past had long since crumbled in war, the formidable pass guarding the immortal realm's boundary had been obliterated, and the true immortals who guarded it had been killed, their law projections, just as they were when they were alive, continued to guard the immortal realm pass, which was now also just a law projection, defending against invaders from beyond the fragments of the broken immortal realm's barrier.
On this boundless, continent-sized phantom, spanning several light-years, where no physical entities existed and which was also constructed from laws, the majestic phantom images of numerous primeval divine mountains standing on the land were their masterpieces in life.
Beneath each primeval divine mountain, a powerful being or a strange entity that could not be directly killed had once been suppressed.
"What in the world are these things?"
"Were those common Vermilion Birds and White Tigers from Xianxia novels? Are the Azure Dragon and Black Tortoise also here?"
Fang Zheng, the blocky pixel person who had just transmigrated again and was inexplicably suppressed, was somewhat bewildered.
He turned to glance at the white light screen, the Hell Gate, which should have been next to him.
In Creative Mode, he could clearly perceive that even though he had just been attacked by the inexplicably astronomical-sized White Tiger and Fire Sparrow in Creative Mode, he had not suffered any damage or displacement.
So, if that was the case for him, then the white Hell Gate standing beside him, this portal also constructed from obsidian blocks from the Minecraft world, should also not have been displaced, right?
"And if this white Hell Gate is gone, it probably means it was directly shattered by this attack?"
"I can't go back to the Minecraft world?"
Fang Zheng didn't care. If he couldn't go back, then so be it.
He had no desire to return to that blocky, pixelated hellhole!
Looking at his inventory, Fang Zheng muttered, "Anyway, I still seem to have Creative Mode abilities, so it doesn't matter."
"No matter how bad it is here, it's better than that hellhole, Minecraft."
Fang Zheng was excited. "If this is some kind of fantasy cultivation world, I should be able to communicate with them."
"I'm so tired of villagers who only grunt and those low-intelligence animals!"
After muttering to himself neurotically for a few sentences, Fang Zheng shifted his attention back. "Right, what is this thing, probably some kind of formation or restriction?"
"What if I'm really trapped and can't get out?"
"In Xianxia worlds, they often seal people for thousands or tens of thousands of years. That's worse than dying!"
Fang Zheng, whose mind had been stagnant in a state of collapse and had only regained a sliver of rationality due to the stimulation of this strange white Hell Gate, did not want to be sealed for thousands or tens of thousands of years right after transmigrating to this colorful Xianxia world.
He looked at the solidified mass of brilliant gold and blood-red crystals and rune chains beside him and tried to use Creative Mode's floating movement.
However, just like in the Minecraft world, if he was blocked by anything other than liquid, flight mode would not allow him to move.
Fang Zheng then tried to raise his hand. Even under this solidified gem-like restraint, his blocky arm moved as if he were in Minecraft and buried by sand, passing directly through the obstruction without being bound by it.
With the rapid waving of his blocky hand, this area of suppression where countless law chains danced shattered without obstruction, creating a block-sized gap, just like a block in Minecraft.
Watching the small blocky gem fragments that vanished into thin air as the block shattered, Fang Zheng's anxiety subsided, and he felt a little more at ease.
In his previous Minecraft world, Fang Zheng had found the blocky, pixelated body so detestable. Yet, in this brand-new world, it brought him an indescribable sense of security.
He mused, "Does Creative Mode's ability to destroy all blocks still exist here?"
"Then I can rest easy."
"Roar!"
"Chirp!"
As Fang Zheng rapidly chipped away at the solidified gemstones, creating gaps in the blocks, the countless runes that had been slowing down and flowing sluggishly within the vast, seemingly endless crimson-gold mountain range of gems began to churn wildly once more. The cries of the Vermilion Bird and the roars of the White Tiger from the outside world grew even more deafening.
The Vermilion Bird's divine flames, capable of burning the void and incinerating all the myriad paths of the heavens, merged instantly with the White Tiger's malevolent energy, which exuded an aura of endless slaughter and destruction like a divine blade of heavenly punishment.
Intertwined and bound by divine chains of law, the spectral projections of the White Tiger and Vermilion Bird, which had been returning to the city, continuously poured their divine power and laws, radiating extreme pressure, into the mountain range.
In an instant, all the chains of law coursing through the crimson-gold gemstone mountain range erupted and raged uncontrollably.
These divine chains of law constantly arranged, combined, and transformed, piecing together a fragmented Four Symbols Killing Array.
This array, like a giant hydraulic press constructed from levers and gears, compressed the full power of the White Tiger and Vermilion Bird's spectral projections layer by layer, condensing it into a terrifying offensive capable of slaying even peak human cultivators!
Immediately, this terrifying power surged towards the blocky Fang Zheng, who was relentlessly digging a passage, determined to obliterate him completely with the Vermilion Bird's divine flames and the White Tiger's killing power, leaving not a trace behind!
