"If it was this big in its original form, how heavy would it be? How much would it have to eat to get this big? Even if it ate thousands or tens of thousands of suns, it probably wouldn't be enough to fill its teeth, right? Also, do creatures this size even poop?"
Fang Zheng continued to maintain Spectator Mode while lost in thought, phasing directly through the dark green eggshell.
Inside the green shell, Fang Zheng curiously observed a small "snake" before him.
Compared to the enormous eggshell, large enough to fit an elephant, the Young Cold Flood Dragon inside, or rather, the embryo, was only about the length and thickness of an adult's arm.
Its entire body flowed with a faint dark jade color. Its semi-transparent scales had not yet fully hardened, and faint greenish blood vessels and colorful internal organs could be seen beneath its skin.
Its head was disproportionately large compared to its body, like a big-headed baby. Two small bumps on its head suggested where horns would grow.
Even as an embryo, sharp fangs had pierced its lips and protruded from its mouth, clearly marking it as a carnivore.
Fang Zheng continued in Spectator Mode, attempting to phase his head through its body. By using the camera angle, he could see that its heart had completely stopped beating and its internal blood seemed to have frozen into some kind of ice.
Fang Zheng mused, "It seems this is indeed a stillborn fetus. But for an egg placed in a Monster Spawner, I don't think there are any rules about whether the egg has to be alive or dead, are there?"
"After all, in MC, there's no such distinction between a live egg and a dead egg."
If Fang Zheng's guess was correct, then the laws of MC and the laws of this Cultivation World would compromise with each other, meaning this judgment would be quite ambiguous.
Even if the egg contained a stillborn fetus, it might still succeed.
"But..." He looked at the massive egg, feeling a headache coming on. "This thing is so big, can I really put it into my Status Bar?"
In MC, any item that could be put into the Inventory was at most one block in size.
Could this Cold Flood Dragon Egg, which was far larger than a single block of one meter by one meter, truly be converted into a dropped item?
"Never mind, I'll know if I try."
He switched back to Creative Mode and called out to Jiang Tingting, asking for her help to move the dead egg to shore.
Hearing Fang Zheng's call from the depths of the pond, Jiang Tingting didn't have time to wonder why she could hear his voice through such thick water, and not through Divine Sense.
She immediately located the source of the sound.
Gentle Divine Power formed a large hand, piercing through the deep cold pond, ignoring the freezing Yin Sha energy below, dispelling the sealing array, and brought up the Cold Flood Dragon Egg that had been placed at the Yin Sha Earth Vein Node.
On the shore, Jiang Tingting looked at the cracks on the eggshell, and the complete lack of life and the faint death aura emanating from it, her mind filled with questions. "What does Senior Fang want with this dead egg?"
She recalled Fang Zheng's recent feat of restoring an Old White Ape to its youth, and a guess formed in her mind, though she found it hard to believe.
"Could it be... that Senior can even bring this dead egg back to life?"
Jiang Tingting was inwardly shocked by her own conjecture, yet she secretly hoped it would come true.
"If he can truly do this, then youth and aging, Yin and Yang, life and death, can all be arbitrarily reversed and transformed by Senior's hand. How is this different from the 'immortals' in myths?"
Fang Zheng walked on the ground, circling the egg, and remarked, "This egg is really quite large."
"Can this Cold Flood Dragon Egg be obtained using the same method as the Ender Dragon Egg?"
Although he was just playing around in his spare time after finishing his homework, Fang Zheng was aware of some common knowledge in MC.
In the game MC, in Survival Mode, players can only obtain a very limited number of eggs, such as Chicken Eggs, Turtle Eggs, Sniffer Eggs, and Ender Dragon Eggs, none of which are monster spawn eggs.
While all except the Ender Dragon Egg can be used to hatch the corresponding species, the Ender Dragon Egg can only be used as decoration.
However, apart from Chicken Eggs, which can hatch chicks in both Creative and Survival Mode, the other types of eggs must wait for incubation. Unlike the spawn eggs in Creative Mode, they cannot be used directly to spawn the corresponding species.
Among these, the Ender Dragon Egg is somewhat special; it cannot be obtained through species reproduction.
It can only be obtained after defeating the Ender Dragon for the first time.
Furthermore, the Ender Dragon Egg is one of the few items in MC that is affected by gravity.
As long as there is no block directly beneath it for support, it will naturally fall downwards.
It cannot be mined; once a player attempts to mine it, it will teleport away like an Enderman, making it impossible to collect as a dropped item into their inventory.
However, if one first mines out the block beneath it, causing the block supporting the egg to be suspended, and then places a torch in the hollow space, and then mines away the block supporting the Ender Dragon Egg, it will naturally fall.
Upon falling and touching the area where the torch is located, it will be directly converted into a dropped item.
This operation can also be performed in Creative Mode, although there is no need to obtain the Ender Dragon Egg in this manner in Creative Mode.
So, since the rules of the MC world and this Cultivation World show a certain degree of compromise, could this Cold Flood Dragon Egg, as an item normally affected by gravity, be treated similarly to an Ender Dragon Egg, allowing for the replication of the Ender Dragon Egg acquisition method?
Fang Zheng wanted to try if he could exploit this method to bug the system and turn this Cold Flood Dragon Egg into a dropped item, thereby putting it into his Inventory.
If it worked, not only this Cold Flood Dragon Egg, but perhaps all egg items encountered in the future could be obtained in this way.
Fang Zheng immediately began. Wielding his blocky arm, he instantly shattered the hard rock directly beneath his feet, creating square gaps.
He then fell down, quickly dug a square hole below, placed several torches inside, and then shattered the remaining stone supporting the egg.
Thus, influenced by gravity, this behemoth directly plummeted towards the torches in the block space below.
Plop...
Accompanied by the familiar dropping sound effect, the massive Cold Flood Dragon Egg, over three meters in diameter, vanished into thin air before it could reach the block torches below.
All that remained was a dropped item hovering in place next to the torches, its main body dark green with spiral and cloud patterns, shaped like an oval piece of cardboard.
Seeing this, Fang Zheng shouted excitedly, "Yes! It worked!"
He quickly ran over and drew the dropped item into his Inventory.
Eagerly opening his Inventory, he could see that in the Monster Egg section, a new type of dark green egg with spiral cloud patterns had appeared.
