54's Ridiculous Plan, Naive Ideals
Lioz.
To be honest, he's heard this name more times in Star Abyss these past few days than in his previous life.
"Just who is this guy?"
Li Aoz couldn't help but ask:
"I know He is an ancient deity, but aren't there many of these things? Not to mention the distant ones—[Source Abyss Celestial Lord] and [Plunder Soul], the former is constantly nagging in our [Mutant]'s heads, and the latter is still busy responding to the capitalists' prayers."
"He has beaten up society."
Liu E's speech was concise and to the point.
"As if everyone's been beaten up before," Li Aoz dismissively.
"What if I said that Lioz, the God of Reality, the Hero of the Stars, killed society?"
"Didn't the Narrative-level also kill two of them? Wolfkide the Wolf Cub Society and Guishi Mien the Ghost Principle Society." Li Aoz was puzzled. He spread his hands and said, "If the [Societies] didn't know how to run away, the Narrative-level wouldn't be afraid of these civilization-eating monsters at all. They could hunt them down one by one. The societies are finite, and they could eventually kill them all."
"Ha, that just shows how shallow your understanding is, kid."
Instead of directly refuting her, Liu E raised her hand and projected a series of information and data:
"This is firsthand information obtained by the Life Commune. Take a look for yourself."
Li Aoz randomly picked one and read it aloud:
"Magnus Bidan, Admiral of the 21st Fleet Group of the ' Heroes Empire,' Omega-rank powerhouse and the ' Nation Stabilizer,' was ambushed by Mash Gergang the ' Machine World Society,' severely wounded, and forced to recuperate in the Floating Star Abyss. The 21st Fleet Group has been completely annihilated and had to be decommissioned. Mash Gergang was repelled, and Magnus determined that his injuries were too severe to recover to his peak combat strength, suggesting that he undergo reincarnation under the protection of the Philosopher King..."
"[The Ruin Flame Society] Satan Jima has launched four consecutive attacks on the ' Temple of Annihilation ' in the Ireland Star Cluster. The civilization in this region has been confirmed to have been completely devoured and absorbed into Satan Jima's ethereal flames. Currently, a brutal and secret tug-of-war is still raging in the Ireland Star Cluster. The ' Temple of Annihilation ' has already lost seventeen Omega-rank clergy, sixty God Embracer, and one Path Sovereign..."
"Even the relatively small [Dream Medicine Society] Fei Kang Enmi created the inhumane ' Tiar Star System Silence '. Its citizens spread dreams and aphrodisiacs, turning the entire galaxy's civilization into a de facto Death Domain. All the citizens of all civilizations, from top to bottom, even the Omega-rank, were completely obsessed with Fei Kang Enmi. However, they were not actually devoured, but became puppets—similar cases are not uncommon."
"[Eternal Industry Society] Podolton..."

These shocking words were something even Li Aoz had never seen before. They immediately presented him with a specialty, leaving Li Aoz amused and exasperated.
[Echo] He can't learn anything right now, so if you give him a buff like this, he won't even know what use it is.
After reading the reports in his hand, Li Aoz suddenly understood why Narrative-level Civilization had been so reluctant to engage in a decisive battle with [society].
"There's no way to fight this," Li Aoz said. "The [Society] is full of monsters, Omega-rank powerhouses or Path Sovereign. We simply can't beat them one-on-one."
"Lioz can defeat him." Liu E said calmly, "This is recorded in history. Although Lioz is a god from outside the Star Abyss and the time period is relatively late, based on archaeological findings and the interrogation of the 'Speaker of Society', it can be proven that Lioz personally destroyed Society."
"If it's a small society, then even Omega-rank powerhouse could go up and give it a good beating."
"Yes, but guess how many societies Lioz killed?"
"Two?" Li Aoz asked tentatively. Seeing that Liu E remained unmoved, he hesitated for a moment before boldly guessing, "Four? At most four, it's impossible."
The answer is 42.
Liu E retrieved a fossil photograph from the ripples in space. "This was taken by the Commune. It is the skeleton of a large [Society]. Its bones are covered with marks from sword cuts and Aoneng destruction—without a doubt, this is the work of Lioz. That god truly deserves to be called the savior! There are a total of 42 similar bones, each from a different society."
"Therefore, the number 42 is not actually accurate."
"It should be said that there are at least 42 [social] animals."
Liu E's statement shocked Li Aoz.
He examined the photograph of the fossil. So much time had passed, yet the fossil still retained the distinctive social structure, making its authenticity undeniable.
The cross-section of society is too easy to identify.
—It is filled with people, soil, star marrow, factories, industrial chains, oceans, and cultural bases.
Looking at it, it's like an aerial view of cities crammed into a bone.
This is the essence of society... a vibrant civilization.
Civilization, from an abstract concept or an organization, has been transformed into a personified being.
"Society is a monster that never stops. It uses citizens as cells, agriculture as blood, industry as fuel, culture and ethnicity as nerve endings, faith and religion as signals, the land as its flesh and blood, its territory as its framework, and its army as its sharp teeth and claws. It is a terrible complex of life and production, a living civilization with self-awareness. Such a creature, from the moment it is born, stands in opposition to the whole of nature."
Liu E said with emotion and awe:
"There is a saying that the gods represent nature and tradition, and were spontaneously fostered by Star Abyss to fight against the external destroyers. But [society] represents pure 'anti-nature'. The struggle between the gods and the destroyers is nothing more than resistance against invasion—but the battle between [society] and [gods] is a struggle between anti-nature and nature."
"An enemy is more despicable than a foreign race. A foreign race only comes to invade your land and abduct your people; at worst, you will end up as a slave of a conquered nation. But an enemy wants to completely erase your existence and take your place. Whether you want to fight or surrender, an enemy will betray you and destroy you."
"In past battles, the unnatural [Society] has always had the upper hand—only Lioz washed away the humiliation with the blood of [Society] and maintained the peace of the Star Abyss with their bones. What other gods can compare with Lioz? They are probably not even qualified to serve Him a foot bath."
Liu E looked at Li Aoz: "Now, do you understand?"
"I think I understand a little." Li Aoz chose his words carefully before saying, "So, you want to recreate a Lioz?"
"No, we don't need Lioz anymore. The age of the gods has come to an end."
Liu E shook her head. "The main god of the [Dominator] system, Morphedria, is not actually that powerful, but strangely enough, Lioz, as an agent, has surpassed his master and slaughtered so many people in society."
"There must be a reason for such formidable strength," Li Aoz added. "But those are ancient records; are you really sure they're reliable?"
"Extremely reliable. You can't even imagine how powerful the commune was at its peak. Before the Calamity God incident, academic organizations throughout the universe were actually supporting us..."
Liu E's initially excited tone suddenly faltered, then turned dejected:
"We have obtained a massive amount of compelling evidence... To this end, the commune has collected a large amount of data and documents and conducted a meticulous and rigorous comparison, even at the risk of angering Narrative-level Civilization —through the comparison of data and documents, we have discovered that Lioz is indeed a little different from other chief gods."
"Let me guess." Li Aoz looked at the other person. "Lioz, do you possess the supreme Aoneng?"
"You're really smart—it's a pity you were born too late. If you had been born seventy years earlier, I would have considered taking you under my wing. With your intelligence, you could easily be a tool for graduate students."
Liu E teased Li Aoz, then continued, "Lioz holds the highest level of creative authority. If we also had that power, we could completely destroy and suppress society."
"Just this one Aoneng? If you can all create something like that, then it's Narrative-level— "
"—Stop mythologizing Narrative-level Civilization!" Liu E couldn't take it anymore. "I don't understand why you, a member of some unknown civilization, keep bragging to me, a citizen of a Narrative-level Civilization, about how powerful Narrative-level Civilization are—I don't even know as much about Narrative-level as you, an outsider?"
Li Aoz was taken aback.
"You actually didn't renounce your citizenship... Didn't the commune already fight against the armies of Narrative-level Civilization?"
"Nonsense, without Narrative-level benefits, where am I supposed to conduct my research? Go to work? If I spend my precious time working, who will carry on my research?"
Within Liu E's headless, ethereal ripples, a face emerged as if 'looking at an idiot,' speaking with disdain, "Narrative-level Civilization aren't as mythical as you think... Your thinking is somewhat like that of a high-ranking officer from the Omikron (O, the fifteenth Greek letter, around level 300), seemingly overly confident in Narrative-level Civilization."
"Just pretend I am," Li Aoz said dismissively. "So, the Narrative-level Civilization didn't even think of this?"
"They also have their short-sighted side."
"Really? But I don't think that's the case at all."
Li Aoz stroked his chin with amusement, only to catch a spatial ripple. He waved his hand and said, "Mr. Liu E, haven't you thought about this?"
Liu E asked in surprise, "What are you trying to say?"
"Is it possible that Lioz, even with his Supreme Aura, couldn't withstand the relentless onslaught of [Society] and died?"
Before Li Aoz could finish speaking, he immediately felt his entire body pressed against the ground.
Gravity has been removed.
Li Aoz pressed his advantage and continued:
"Lioz may have killed many societies... but is it possible that the Narrative-level Civilization has existed for so long that it has withstood countless years from ancient times to the present?"
