Earth 292: Old Earth Tales
"Earth?"
Li Aoz frowned. "I've never heard of this."
"Earth should be a plane completely different from the Star Abyss. In their plane, technology is highly advanced, but there are no gods or the Sixth Layer Star Abyss. On the other hand, they have not been invaded by the Destroyers, and the laws of physics and fundamental laws have not been usurped or altered by the Destroyers—I think this is probably why Gaia is so determined to invade the Star Abyss."
Lioz briefly explained, "Gaia is likely a descendant of an Earth civilization. In the Morphedria Universe, extraterrestrials from Earth established the Ether Civilization. In just one million years, these Earthlings swept away almost all native civilizations and ascended to the ' Hidden Society ' in the plane of the ' Overlord Willpower.' They then launched a massive invasion, devouring civilizations and advancing all the way to Haynes, which I control."
Li Aoz raised an eyebrow. "You mean, the Earth dimension is also an invader?"
"You can't say that—but Earthlings are different from us. The civilization of Star Abyss appeared under the authorization of the gods and did not go through brutal natural competition. Earthlings are different. Their history is marked by war and integration. Earthlings have an incredibly terrifying desire for aggression. Once they come to Star Abyss, they will develop a powerful talent for warfare."
Lioz explained:
"Humans on Earth and outside the Star Abyss, or life forms with Earth blood, even if they have undergone some convergent evolution, are far more warlike than the native creatures of the Star Abyss. Usually, these Earth species, or similar Earth species, are called C3 Luca-type Cosmic Human Race."
"I see... No wonder the Hidden Society considers the C3 Luca-type Cosmic Human Race as citizens."
Li Aoz suddenly realized. "Do you have any other key information about Gaia?"
"Gaia has three chairpersons. I overheard their conversation and speculate that two of them are directly from Earth."
Lioz said, "[Emperor] Anpolo, Earth citizen, Georgia Autonomous Region."
"[The Doomsayer] Lei Wenyuan, Earth citizen, East Asia Alliance."
"[Scholar] Lyle Swindler, born in Haynes, was secretly corrupted and became a traitor."
"Although these three speakers are nominally loyal to Gaia, they are only superficially united. In order to resist the invasion of Earthlings, you can try to win them over."
"Tell me, who can you win over?"
"The Emperor is a staunch Earthist. He has waged the most wars, killed countless people, and controls the army through the council. He is our absolute enemy. His goal is likely to turn Star Abyss into nourishment for Earth. You must completely defeat him before you can face Gaia."
Lioz said:
"[Scholar] Lyle is highly intelligent and an opportunist. You can try to win him over, but he is a traitor. You can cooperate with him, but you cannot trust him."
Li Aoz listened and nodded.
Ya Wen and Vierria had also told him these things, but they didn't know anything about the Secret Chairman, much less had they personally contacted or fought against the enemy like Lioz had.
"You can focus on winning over [The Doomsayer], Lei Wenyuan."
Lioz said:
"[The Doomsayer] has no interest in secrecy. He loves money and pleasure, and his only pursuit is eternity. Although he is not powerful, he has a distinct personality and often changes sides. He prefers the title ' Eternal Speaker Greedy Chairman Chairman' that others call him."
Li Aoz felt that this description sounded somewhat familiar.
A love of money, pleasure, and the pursuit of eternity...
Have you heard of him somewhere before? "Are you sure... [The Doomsayer] is called Lei Wenyuan?"
Li Aoz asked tentatively.
"This is my name as an Earthling."
"And the gender?" Li Aoz pressed.
"The Speaker has no gender—though I remember him appearing as a woman."
After a moment's thought, Lioz added:
"On my deathbed, I heard Emperor Anpolo address the Doomsayer by a different name in the language of the Star Abyss."
"I have a bad feeling about this..." Li Aoz twitched the corner of his mouth.
"That name is: Red King."
As soon as Lioz finished speaking, Li Aoz's mind exploded.
Red King! He is said to be the only existing Star Abyss Main God.
The mastermind behind Narrative No. 11, "United Company".
The oath-taker of the abyss currency Ammonium Gold.
What is He? Even the "United Company," a Narrative-level Civilization, must bow down to Him, offering monopolistic paths of "Plunderer" and "Gambler," attracting countless people to join.
How could someone of such high standing possibly be... the Speaker of the [Society]?
Was Lioz joking? No, this guy isn't one to joke around.
Li Aoz quickly scanned all the possibilities in his mind, and suddenly one idea came to mind. He then asked for confirmation, "Lioz... what is the name of the main god of the [Plunder] system?"
"Siveston."
Lioz said calmly:
"I once supported Siveston. His strength was weak; as a chief god, he was even weaker than an agent like me. The Star Abyss he controlled was on the verge of collapse several times under the attack of the Destroyer's army. If it weren't for Jio Zeiou's constant presence, his Star Abyss Universe would have been the first to fall."
"...No wonder."
Li Aoz murmured:
"Lioz, the current chief god of the [Plunder] system, is named Red King. And he is also the controller of the 11th narrative."
"I have reason to believe... that Red King usurped the throne."
"If Red King is on the side of the Earth invaders—then this means that Star Abyss has been severely infiltrated by [society]."
"Learn."
Lioz showed no surprise and said calmly:
"Lei Wenyuan, also known as Red King, has defected from Haynes multiple times and even joined my ranks—this time, perhaps for his own benefit, he has once again joined the Star Abyss Side."
"Are you sure you can trust a repeat offender like this?"
"It's alright."
Lioz said:
"This is the most efficient way. Go and engage with Narrative Number 11 right now, speak with Red King, and clarify the identity of our being—"
"This is fucking crazy!"
Li Aoz couldn't hold back any longer. "That's the Secret Council Chairman! Aren't you afraid that Goddess Red King will betray us to the Secret Council? Not to mention, He even betrayed Lioz before, and now He holds the dual identity of Star Abyss Main God and Secret Chairman —what makes you think you can still talk about cooperation in front of him as a loser?"
"It's nothing but death."
Lioz said calmly, "This is the most efficient method. If the alliance succeeds, we will directly divert a quarter of the hidden high-level forces, something you might not have been able to do even in thousands of years."
"What if I die?"
"As it stands, even if he dies, he'll just end up like Jio Zeiou, being recycled by Star Abyss."
Lioz said casually, "At worst, it's just the destruction of the soul and the rebirth from chaos."
