As if by unspoken agreement, the nobles of the Fifth Army gathered together of their own accord. As the allied army's reserve force, it was only natural for them to fall behind the charging troops.
Hudson did not know whether he should be happy or worried that his allies had all learned how to slack off and preserve their strength. Still, in the short term, it was beneficial.
Seeing everyone charging around like headless flies behind the assault force, Hudson hurriedly suggested, "Head toward the city lord's manor. We should find something there."
Others charged for military merit, so naturally they had to head where the enemy was thickest. Ideally, they would find the altar and make their names through great deeds.
But the Fifth Army did not need that. Thanks to being politically correct, their rewards were already guaranteed. Following along and picking up some scraps was enough!
If they wanted more, they would have to perform some earthshaking feat. Otherwise, it would not affect their final rewards at all.
