With a tremendous crash, the palace collapsed.

Princess Madelaine, only now realizing what had happened, let out a startled cry. The scene before her was completely beyond her expectations. Since when had her casual strike possessed such terrifying power?

"Your Highness, are you all right?!"

the maid asked tremblingly.

They had heard countless rumors about the Bringer of Misfortune. But in the past, their mistress had only brought disaster upon a particular sort of person. As long as one did not become engaged to her or pursue her, there was no danger.

Now, however, the misfortune was clearly showing signs of spreading.

Even the renowned Marshal Hudson had suffered an accident when he left after approaching Princess Madelaine, directly causing two guards to suffer an undeserved calamity.

And now the palace had suddenly collapsed. If they had not been lucky enough to happen to be out running errands, they did not know whether they would still be standing here.

As she spoke, Princess Madelaine looked at her own hands, still finding it hard to believe.

Vaguely, she sensed a hidden power within her that was constantly swelling.

She tried to control it, but unfortunately, that power ignored her completely. It was as if it could only be stirred when she was angry.

Before she could figure out what was going on, the palace guards had already rushed over. After taking only one look at the scene, a young guard hurriedly shouted, "Catch the assassin!"

"Your Highness, we arrived too late to protect you..."

Obviously, this was a misunderstanding. Princess Madelaine had been about to explain that she had accidentally caused it, but after glancing at the ruins, she swallowed the words that had reached her lips.

She was merely a little mage too weak
