Professor Lan Zhou was still on the call with Officer Fang Shu, so Ronan let his thoughts run on, following the thread he had just picked up.

It had only been recently that Ronan became certain Liang Lu had been the previous owner of the External Neuron and the master of the Broken Flying Ship at the edge of the Sun Wheel Absolute Domain. Even that conclusion was probably influenced by the Relay Station.

After all, Liang Lu's name appeared most often among the objects and records directly connected to them.

The final confirmation had come at Three Peaks, during the exchange between Tu Ge and Luo Yuan that had seemed both deliberate and casual.

Ronan had always trusted Liang Lu, probably because of his experience at the Relay Station.

But he still knew far too little about Liang Lu. Once he opened up a new line of thought, doubts surfaced one after another.

Li Wei was an enormous problem, wasn't he?

Together, Li Wei and Tu Ge could all but seal off native Earth Civilization completely, couldn't they?

Earth's native inhabitants had virtually no power to resist under those circumstances, did they?

From what Ronan knew, Liang Lu had arrived in Earth Local Time-Space alone, without companions or backup. Li Wei and Tu Ge had attacked him, and after thirty or forty years of confrontation and struggle at a distance, he had fallen.

It might have been an accident for Liang Lu, but it had unfolded over a fairly long time. He should have had some idea what was coming, and some time to prepare.

If I were Liang Lu, what would I do?
