Ronan's vision had an end, but his perception naturally extended beyond it, pointing toward the invisible shadow tightly interfering with Earth Local Time-Space—it had once become the Pale Demon Eye, staring coldly, but now it was nowhere to be seen.
The Deep Blue World was like this, drawing near or retreating at Li Wei's will, operating and changing at any time.
Ronan had once been unable to find the way in, but now things were somewhat better.
"Nibbling Void Bacteria" were an excellent medium, but there were too few suitable hosts for them over there;
"Great Comprehension" was more mysterious, but deeply analyzing the distribution of life within a plane still required time to improve the relevant algorithms;
Then there were the "Memory Fragments" still drifting down in a chaotic shower, barely piecing together the outline of a dreamscape.
What Ronan pieced together was only an incomplete scene from the past. His real-time perceptions were too vague, and he still lacked a node capable of connecting past and present, thought and reality.
Precisely because it lacked this, the Mirror of Appraisal spinning in his palm was somewhat sluggish.
Ronan was in no hurry. Since it was a puzzle, some clues could only emerge after enough pieces had accumulated.
So he waited quietly in the rain, gradually growing familiar with the rotten smell and chaotic noise of those fragments. His Cloak, too, was wrapped in them, rising and sinking through Earth's atmosphere—half bright, half dim, chasing and circling one another.
This was a stable pattern. Yet human minds were always lively. Reason continued functioning as usual, while thoughts came one after another, like the rain streaks drifting outside, falling into every corner of the city without knowing what they might be tainted by the next second.
