Ronan opened his eyes. He seemed to still see clusters of stars surrounding the unfinished Star Gate framework, forming a star chain that was unnaturally close and grotesquely distorted. A distance of over a million kilometers from that magnificent structure counted as "close range." His phantom state had felt nothing, but Ronan's true body, countless light-years away, had broken out in a cold sweat, drained by the sensation that every ounce of his energy had been burned away.
Fortunately, on this side of Inner Earth, Ronan always recovered quickly. Raven handed him a dry towel at just the right moment.
Whenever Ronan's spirit roamed the distant starry sky, she stood guard at his side.
"I had a dream. No, it probably wasn't a dream." Ronan explained it to Raven as well, briefly describing his experiences and impressions at the Star Gate Construction Site.
No matter how absurd Ronan's account sounded, Raven always considered it seriously.
After a moment, she said softly, "That Exploration Team seems to be heading this way."
"You think so too?"
"Or maybe you already had a corresponding judgment, so you inevitably described it that way."
"Your thinking's becoming more and more well-rounded." Ronan praised her softly, then sighed. "If only I could take you there. Looking at it from another perspective might give us a more accurate judgment."
This time, Raven did not respond. She merely reminded him, "You 'slept' through another whole day. A lot of people called and messaged you."
"Normal."
Ronan checked the wristband he had set to silent. Sure enough, it had practically been bombarded by calls from every direction.
Not to mention anything else, nearly every Extraordinary Species he had any dealings with and who had his contact information had called him once. Even Gao Wenfu had awkwardly made a call.
