In the vast space of the Deep Blue World, Life Support Capsules stood side by side in a single row. Some were empty. Others held people submerged in Nutrient Solution, sleeping as they recovered and grew.
A piercing alarm suddenly sounded through the room.
People rushed in. In less than half a second, they identified the capsule with the problem and ran through a series of adjustments, but the alarm showed no sign of stopping. More people poured in and gathered around the source of the alarm—the Life Support Capsule nearest the door. They talked more and more, did less and less, and grew increasingly panicked.
Just as they were at a loss, the metal door opened again. Li Wei walked in slowly, wearing a white lab coat. He tilted his head, making his steel-blue hair sway slightly. The others looked as though they had been granted a reprieve. They slipped out along the wall by the door, and in a moment, they were gone.
The alarm continued to blare. Li Wei paid it no mind. He stood before the Life Support Capsule and looked at Tu Ge's hard, angular face, unobscured by Sunglasses, beneath the Nutrient Solution.
A few seconds later, Tu Ge half-opened his eyes inside the capsule. His gaze was unfocused.
Li Wei did not care. "Ronan made a move against you?"
Tu Ge paused for a long while before he found the strength to make the liquid vibrate and speak indistinctly. "Maybe. The sensation was very faint."
"Perhaps the rules of the Deep Blue World blocked it. He's remarkably skilled at constructing Spacetime Silhouettes, and there's a special order of rules over there too... Speaking of which, this is an opportunity. Do you want to go outside?"
