All equipment in the [Tinker's Construct Mod] (including tools, weapons, and armor, collectively referred to as "equipment" below) required the material properties of its corresponding parts to gain bonuses.
"High-end materials often need only the simplest crafting methods-damn! Can someone tell me where to get [firewood], [Cobalt ore], [Ardite ore], [End stone], [Nether rock]... and three colors of [Slime]! Where am I supposed to get them in the real world? This is such crap!"
Shen Jin looked at the pile of high-end materials displayed in the [Tinkers' Construct Compendium], his scalp tingling.
The only materials he could currently use were conventional ones: [Wood logs], [cobblestone], [iron], [copper], [steel], [lead], and the like.
Their properties were nowhere near as powerful as those of the unobtainable materials above, which had certain magical properties.
"Wait! Maybe they aren't all unavailable."
Shen Jin seemed to have seen [cobalt ore], which came from the Nether dimension in the game, somewhere before.
He went to his warehouse and rummaged around for quite a while, finally finding [cobalt] among the products of the sea-sand deposits extracted by the [Mining Machine] on the seabed in D City!
"Nice! Cobalt has powerful material properties too. High-end stuff."
Shen Jin opened the page introducing [cobalt] in the [Tinkers' Construct Compendium]. It read:
