If a zombie horde arrived, everyone would only have to defend the eastern side of the base!
The wall there stood six meters high, sealing everything off to keep the settlement absolutely safe. Ordinary M-Type Zombies had no way in.
As for Super M-Type Zombies, Shen Jin figured there was no stopping them. Those things could stick their hands and feet to walls; even a twenty-meter wall would be climbable, so there was no point trying.
The wall was mainly intended to keep out ordinary Evolved Zombies and humans.
With such a large area, they no longer had to fear attacks from the Black Insects either. If a zombie horde overran them, everyone could simply retreat steadily to the backup passages.
Beneath the base lay Shen Jin's upgraded network of passages. To avoid being unable to use his Blockify Ability because living creatures covered the surface, he had installed plenty of conventional mechanisms.

He had placed a [Piston] beside a stone covering an underground passage. All it took was a push of the [Lever] to move the stone aside and reveal the passage inside.
Shen Jin had also installed several [Trapdoors] in concealed locations, providing direct access underground.
He had marked all these on the map. As long as he remained
