Amid the shrill cries for help and savage roars, the ink-black night was forcibly torn open. A huge red moon, as though dyed in blood, hung high in the sky. Whether it was its radiance or actual blood, every inch of land and every brick was soaked through.

The magnificent city that should have been defending against the Beast Tide from the Far North Land had now shattered like glazed glass, leaving behind only broken walls and collapsed gates. The devastation of the catastrophe that had befallen it was faintly visible.

Inside and outside the city walls, corpses were piled layer upon layer, forming hills of flesh that reeked of death. Countless severed limbs and organs were strewn across the frozen flagstones, while viscous blood gathered into dark streams that slowly crawled through the streets, silently devouring the traces of life that remained.

The dead city was now filled only with the whimpering of the foul wind. Terrifying demonic shadows moved across the broken walls, leaving not a blade of grass alive in their wake. After all, they had left no survivors.

"Demon Legion! Continue advancing!"

The Demon Lord named Wu Jie, who resembled Alba, climbed high and roared furiously. The excitement of slaughter constantly flashed through his eyes.

"Roar, roar, roar--"

After his roar, the demons—including the Demonized Soul Masters—all let out excited responses.

But at that moment, one of them exclaimed, "Huh? What's that?"

Demon Lord Wu Jie suddenly sensed something strange. He raised his head and gazed into the sky, where several meteors streaked across it, shining brightly. Yet the meteors kept growing larger and brighter, as though they were coming straight toward them.

"Tell me, what exactly is that!?"
