In order to research magecraft capable of lifting the Curse, he buried himself in the library, searching everywhere for information, until someone sent by Kayneth Approached him.

Because of a mysterious ritual, a magecraft Genius had fallen. Yet his student rose in his place, appearing before the public as the victor of the Holy Grail War and inheriting El-Melloi's position as Lord of the Clock Tower.

Kayneth made a deal with his former student, exchanging the position of El-Melloi Lord—which granted greater access to all sorts of profound magecraft—for the protection of the King of Conquerors, who had been cursed with incarnation by All the World's Evil.

Unfortunately, during the Holy Grail War, when he ordered his Servant to kill Zouken Matou, the dying Zouken Matou detonated the Crest Worms within his body and took his life with him.

With the old worm no longer holding down the Matou Family, the new family head, Matou Kariya, boldly sold off his family's magecraft inheritance, along with some knowledge concerning the Holy Grail's Command Spell system.

The Matou Family's financial situation improved, and Matou Shinji became a rich second-generation heir. However, he left Japan with his father, Matou Kariya, and settled in some small European country.

Crossing worlds was a very quick process. In the blink of an eye, Broly had returned to Vampa.

Looking at the familiar cave he called home, Broly felt as though a lifetime had passed.

The spider eggs from before his departure had already vanished. His father had probably eaten them.

Thinking of his Old Man father, whom he had not seen in many days, Broly, who had just beaten up another world's Old Man father, unexpectedly found himself missing him a little.
