Demon Civilization Makes the List

Time is a strange thing. Sometimes you feel it pass quickly—almost in the blink of an eye, years can slip by.

But other times, it crawls. Seconds stretch into an eternity.

Right now was one of those times.

Every major civilization across the Super God Universe stared without blinking at the dimmed Ranking System.

For them, the moments before the Ranking revealed itself felt like an agonizing wait—each second an unbearable eternity.

Fortunately, even though the Ranking had gone dark, its comment function was still active.

With the comments to pass the time, the people of various civilizations weren't left completely bored.

[Lord God of Yiren Civilization: "So, how did your search for the Cyber Heavenly Court Civilization go last time? Any gains?"]

[Prince of Deep Sea Civilization: "Yeah! No news has come out since then. Did you guys crush the Cyber Heavenly Court Civilization and keep the spoils quiet?"]

[Dileina: "Huh? When did you go looking for the Cyber Heavenly Court Civilization? How come I don't know anything about it? What's going on?"]

[Snow: "This is a private matter for our Nether River Civilization. Everyone, please don't ask too many questions. You'll all find out the details sooner or later."]

Snow said this, of course, to cover up the fact that they had failed to find the Cyber Heavenly Court Civilization.

After all, the one leading this search was Death God Karl, the main god of their Styx Galaxy! And Death God Karl's greatest reputation across the universe was tied to knowledge and wisdom!

In other words, Death God Karl had once been hailed as the Wise One by the entire Super God Universe—even Keisha couldn't surpass him in intellect!

So if it got out that they had failed to locate the Cyber Heavenly Court Civilization, the Wise One's reputation would take a massive hit.

Karl had compensated with so many resources earlier partly for this reason—he wanted to buy silence, to keep them from spreading the word.

But neither Death God Karl nor Snow expected that the first to stab them in the back would be their ally, the Demon Civilization!

[Morgana: "Stop blowing smoke! Last time, under Death God Karl's lead, we ended up with nothing. If Karl hadn't shelled out resources, the whole universe would've known about our failure the very same day!"]

[Morgana: "Later, Death God Karl told us it was because the Cyber Heavenly Court Civilization had some technology to conceal their entire civilization, which was why we couldn't find them."]

Watching her own comment scroll across the Ranking, Morgana stood in the Demon Castle and nodded with satisfaction.

Exposing what had happened last time was a decision she had made after careful deliberation.

Though she had always maintained an alliance with Death God Karl, Morgana knew full well that they were only using each other!

Karl wanted to exploit her conflict with Keisha to eliminate Keisha!

Morgana, in turn, was willingly used by Karl to get rid of Keisha!

But Morgana wasn't stupid. Karl wanted Keisha gone because her Order of Justice stood in the way of Death God Karl welcoming the Void!

And the moment the Void era arrived, "ancient gods" like Morgana would be the ones cast aside!

So Morgana had to prepare ahead of time, to buy herself as much time as possible before the Void came!

Because only then could she find the "capital" to keep herself from being swept away by the tide of the Void era!

That was why, after deep thought, Morgana had made the decision to expose this!

Exposing this had two major benefits.

The first benefit was:

Through the Ranking, Morgana could damage Karl's reputation and even his authority, slowing down his plans to usher in the Void era!

The second benefit was:

Through the Ranking, Morgana could inform the Heavenly Venerate of the Cyber Heavenly Court Civilization about Karl's search for them!

That way, the Cyber Heavenly Court Civilization would develop hostility toward Death God Karl!

Once that hostility took root, conflict between them was inevitable!

With conflict brewing, Morgana could seize the opportunity to develop and find the "capital" her Demon Civilization needed to survive the coming Void era!

As the saying goes, when the snipe and the clam grapple, it's the fisherman who profits. This was no different.

But what Morgana didn't know was that the Cyber Heavenly Court Civilization was no lamb—it was a tiger.

Watching Morgana's comment on the Ranking, Su Mu, seated on his throne, smiled faintly.

With his insight, he could see at a glance exactly what Morgana was trying to do.

"Nether River Civilization? Death God Karl?"

"Judging by the characters appearing on the Ranking, this should be the early stages of the plot."

Based on the various comments on the Ranking, Su Mu quickly deduced the current timeline.

After all, earlier on the Ranking, Liu Chuang and Ge Xiaolun had kept calling Lena "big sister," and Angel Leng was still as proud as ever.

So Su Mu could easily infer that this was the early period, before Keisha had died.

"In that case, I'll start with the Taotie Legion."

With that thought, a cold glint flashed in Su Mu's eyes. If Death God Karl wanted to spy on his Heavenly Court, then he'd have to bear the consequences.

Having made his decision, Su Mu opened his communication channel with Yang Jian and gave his orders: "Yang Jian, start looking for a place called Earth Star. It should be in the Chi Wu Star System!"

"Once you find it, send me a message. I'll have the Giant Spirit God deliver the Building Acceleration Card we obtained last time to you."

"Then you will lead your squad to begin establishing the South Heaven Gate star gate across the entire Earth Star."

"Yes, Heavenly Venerate!" After receiving Su Mu's command, Yang Jian replied respectfully.

Just as Su Mu was giving his instructions to Yang Jian, the previously dim Ranking finally began to glow once more.

As faint blue ripples swept across every planet in the cosmos, the second Ranking tally officially commenced!
