After boarding the bus, the two groups sat facing each other. It was obvious they did not like one another, making the spacious interior feel somewhat tense.
After leaving Cloud City's port and passing through a few inspections, they soon entered the city. What came into everyone's view was a highly technological metropolis brimming with a sense of the future.
Cloud City had originally been built above the clouds, so when they looked up, all they could see was the azure sky and a Steel Mountain Peak that could only be described as enormous. With this steel mountain as its foundation, the surrounding buildings radiated outward in rings. Yet amid the densely packed urban structures, green spaces occupied a vast area. Everywhere that could be planted with vegetation was practically covered in plants.
The road the bus traveled on had been built entirely in the air. Looking down through the windows, aside from countless skyscrapers, they could also make out many buildings that seemed somewhat out of place in this high-tech city. They appeared ancient and antique, carrying the weight of history. But that made sense. By most people's understanding, Cloud City had existed for at least six thousand years. Its history ran deep.
Everyone's attention was drawn outside, and the atmosphere inside the bus seemed to ease considerably.
Tang Chenfeng's group were not the only ones captivated by the scenery. The other three were also drawn in by the grand and magnificent city. The sisters Xue Tianbing and Xue Mengbing stared out the window with shining eyes, while Xue Linger seemed unusually calm. She simply propped her cheek on one hand and sat quietly by the window, gazing blankly outside, seemingly uninterested in this place everyone dreamed of visiting.
At the same time, Tang Chenfeng found something rather strange.
