Rebirth and early cultivation

Ye Xingchen was once the Night Emperor, one of the Ten Great Martial Emperors. After his death, he was reborn in the body of Pei A'niu, beginning again with weak aptitude and only first-stage Pulse Opening cultivation 86 1324.

Initially resentful of being forced into the Iron Bone Sect, he concealed his past and treated his fellow disciples with aloof disdain. His discovery and comprehension of the Grand Xuan True Scripture rapidly restored his potential, raising both his aptitude and cultivation 120 224.

He later revealed that Empress Ling Yao had been his enemy in his former life. His pursuit of revenge—and the wish to avenge his mother—became the central motivation behind his relentless cultivation 145 1677.

Rise within the Eternal Sect

Ye Xingchen distinguished himself in sect clashes and tournaments through exceptional judgment, movement techniques, and combat experience. Though he initially intended to pursue strength alone, Jun Changxiao's protection and the support of the Eternal Sect gradually changed him. Separation from Pei A'niu

Awakening the Green Ox bloodline exposed memories belonging to Pei A'niu and confirmed that the original soul still existed within the body Ye Xingchen had occupied 1506 1508. Rather than erase Pei A'niu, Ye Xingchen began seeking a way to atone for taking his body 1600.

Using the Quenching Soul Sacred Heaven Technique, Ye Xingchen transferred his soul into the Demon Ancestor's body. Pei A'niu regained his original body, inherited the Green Ox bloodline and cultivation, and joined the Eternal Sect as a separate disciple 1608.

Revenge against Empress Ling Yao

After reaching the True Seeking Realm, Ye Xingchen confronted Empress Ling Yao on Night Burial Mountain. He destroyed her space cage, pierced her with his halberd, and received the returned Grand Xuan True Scripture before her death 1676.
