Background / History

The sect began as the Iron Bone Unyielding Sect, founded by Sect Leader Wang. Under its first-generation leader, it became a third-rate power and one of Qingyang Village’s nine major sects. Wang’s arrest and execution left it leaderless, causing a long decline, though the sect itself survived. 1

Under Jun Changxiao, the sect was rebuilt from its dilapidated state. Its original roughly hundred-acre grounds were divided into Inner and Outer Courts; renovations added a new main hall, training ground, pavilions, ponds, rockeries, living quarters, guest rooms, and capacity for roughly a thousand disciples. 24 100

After being promoted to fifth-rate, Jun initially installed a plaque reading Eternal Strongest Sect, but the public certification used the shorter name Eternal Sect. The original “Iron Bone Unyielding” plaque remained in the Main Hall as a permanent symbol of the sect’s founding spirit. 559 560

Iron Bone Mountain and Iron Bone Town retained their names despite the sect’s rebranding, preserving the legacy of the original Iron Bone Unyielding Sect and Sect Leader Wang. 730
