"Na—"
Before the classic Japanese filler phrase was even finished, the person closest to the door had already been knocked down.
Akesato did not slow his steps. Whoever he saw, he hit.
Thankfully, the Q Organization's painfully edgy outfits meant he did not need to worry about accidentally hurting the wrong people.
Naturally, he used the martial arts he had been practicing these past few days.
With no classes to attend and no other missions, Akesato had thrown more than ten thousand punches. The coordination between his cursed energy and body had gradually become instinctive, requiring no deliberate thought.
The moment his body moved, cursed energy naturally arose.
Every gesture and movement carried immense force. Whether person or object, anything in his path had only one fate: being sent flying.
In the blink of an eye, the fairly sizable base had been smashed to pieces by Akesato. More than a dozen peripheral members lay on the ground, their fates unknown, not even having time to draw their guns.
One of the conditions for Black Flash was absolute concentration and giving it everything. In this state, how could ordinary people possibly keep up with Akesato?
The only one to escape disaster was the Curse User.
This was also the most practical "sorcerer identification method" Akesato had come up with: the JO Method of Identification.
Akesato's excessively violent fighting style made the remaining enemy abandon any thought of Cursed Spirit Revelation and silently release his cursed technique.
It was a cloud of purple mist.
Akesato did not recklessly charge into it. Instead, he cautiously grabbed a grunt and threw him over.
The instant the man touched the mist, his clothes and exposed skin showed obvious corrosion.
"An ability similar to acid mist?" Akesato judged.
"That's right. My cursed technique is called—"
The Curse User thought he had found an opportunity to engage in a cursed technique battle. Who would have thought his opponent was an unconventional sorcerer with no cursed technique?
Before he could finish speaking, Akesato grabbed two more cannon fodder and hurled them over. The throws were so fierce that they were clearly meant to smash people to death.
An absurd feeling arose in the Curse User's heart.
Which one of us is the Curse User here?
How were you more ruthless and experienced at killing people than I was?
Weren't righteous types supposed to care, at least somewhat, about other people's lives?
Of course, that ruthlessness was relative.
The Curse User himself did not care about his companions' lives. Or rather, he had never considered those Non-Jujutsu Sorcerers to be companions in the first place. If they died, they died.
Whether they were thrown to death or corroded to death by his cursed technique, it made no difference.
The greatest advantage of his cursed technique was its long duration and low consumption. Even if he corroded everyone in the base into mush, it would not be a problem.
No!
His goal was not simply to throw people at him or wear him down. He was using those powerful throws to create an opening.
After dodging the "flying person" attack a second time, the Curse User finally realized something was wrong when he saw Akesato "throwing someone" for the third time.
But it was already too late. For the third "throw," Akesato used his full strength.
Tonnage-level power combined with the mass and volume of a human body produced wind pressure that scattered the corrosive mist to either side. Though it lasted only an instant, it was enough for Akesato to exploit the gap.
One punch!
Then another punch!
The Curse User, one move behind, was struck in the jaw. It was a relatively fragile part of the human body, and the key spot said to determine a boxing match with a single blow.
With Akesato's strength, a punch like that meant a concussion at minimum. Whether he became an idiot afterward depended on his luck.
Having landed the blow, Akesato did not hesitate. Carrying his forward momentum, he continued onward and broke through the corrosive mist in one go.
Without Cursed Spirit Revelation, he could not be sure whether the other party's cursed technique would disappear once its user lost consciousness.
Considering the mist's properties, Akesato did not remain inside the base. He carried the Curse User outside.
After tossing the Curse User onto the ground, the Boy reached out and patted the man's cheek. But after only two pats, he gave up and muttered to himself, "I almost forgot. He might have a 'curse' inside him too. To be safe, I should return to Jujutsu High first and have Miss Ieiri take a look. I can also report certain people's inaction to Teacher Gojo!"
Just as Akesato took out his phone, his expression suddenly changed, and he swiftly retreated.
Almost at the same instant, a bang rang out. A nearby wall burst open with a hole, spraying stone fragments everywhere.
"A sniper?"
Akesato crossed his steps and slipped into the shadows beyond the reach of the lights in a serpentine path.
At that moment, a dim yellow hue spread across the sky and descended in the shape of a dome.
Someone had deployed a Curtain.
As the Curtain fell, two figures dressed in white military uniforms and capes appeared beneath the night sky, one in front and one behind, perfectly blocking Akesato's path forward and retreat.
The enemy had come prepared. Akesato stopped hiding, pulled open the cloth bag on his back, and slowly stepped out:
"So that's how it was. The mantis stalked the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind it. I walked right into your trap. If I'm not mistaken, you're the core members of the Q Organization—"
"The organization's strongest combatant, Bayer." The long-haired man standing before him let his hair flutter in the wind.
"The organization's coordinator, Kekun." The man behind him gave a sinister laugh.
Honestly, introducing themselves like that was a little cringeworthy in real life, but paired with their chuuni outfits, it somehow did not feel out of place.
"Shouldn't the strongest be looking for trouble with the strongest? Why come after me?"
Akesato asked a very cutting question with complete sincerity.
"Because there's still a tiny gap between us and the 'strongest' on your side."
Bayer actually admitted it honestly, which surprised Akesato a little.
"Looking at how you're dressed, I thought you cared a lot about saving face."
"You think we care?" Kekun, standing behind him, pointed at his face, which was wrapped so tightly that not a single gap showed. "Ten years ago, I lost my face. Jujutsu High gave me all of this. I swore I would reclaim it tenfold, a hundredfold."
"Unable to beat the real target, so you went after someone else. Your way of getting even really is 'super doubled,' huh?"
"Because we're villains." Bayer showed not the slightest shame. "Let's set a rule. If you cry and beg me for mercy, I'll spare your life."
"That certainly sounds like something a villain would say."
"No, that's what Satoru Gojo said to me ten years ago. I'm just returning his words verbatim."
Bayer's answer made Akesato's expression stiffen.
That demon king Gojo... you really were something.
As the demon king's student, I, Akesato, couldn't fall short either.
"In that case, I'll return those words verbatim too. If you cry and beg us for mercy, I'll spare your lives."
Bayer and Kekun burst into laughter, laughing so hard they clutched their stomachs.
"Did you hear that, Kekun?"
"I heard it, Bayer."
"Are young people these days all this arrogant? Alas, the glory of my Showa era is truly gone."
"I finally understand why you split up with that Grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerer. You're hopelessly foolish."
"Let us teach you what reality is in place of that irresponsible teacher. Can you still be so confident after seeing this?"
Bayer unhurriedly raised his right hand. A row of rifles flew out from behind him and lined up before Akesato.
The next second, gunfire erupted.
PS: Satoru Gojo's original words were: Let's set a rule. I don't want Yaga to scold me for hitting too hard. If you cry and apologize, I'll spare your life.
PS2: If you don't give me monthly tickets, bookmarks, and tips, then I'll... wah wah wah? Gojo face.
