Reverse Cursed Technique breakthrough 238 Achieved a decisive breakthrough after a near-death encounter with Toji Fushiguro, beginning his path toward invincibility.
“Invincible” Limitless user 230 Refined Limitless into a permanent, passive defense that automatically evaluates threats; he continuously restores the brain strain with Reverse Cursed Technique.
Saint Grade 445 Recognized alongside Akesato and Sukuna as a Saint Grade combatant; Limitless functions as an effortless phenomenon rather than a consciously activated technique.

Background / History

Satoru Gojo was already the acknowledged strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer before Akemi Akesato left the Kamo family. As head of the Gojo family, his individual strength kept the other two Great Families from openly challenging him. 12

In his youth, Gojo nearly died fighting Toji Fushiguro. The experience led him to grasp Reverse Cursed Technique and pursue a new level of strength, eventually transforming Limitless into a permanent passive defense. 230 238

After becoming a teacher at Tokyo Jujutsu High, Gojo devoted himself to protecting and training students whom traditional jujutsu factions would otherwise suppress. His stated ambition was to reform the stagnant jujutsu world and raise a generation capable of creating a new era. 13 469

He personally invited Akesato to Tokyo Jujutsu High, offering both institutional protection and an unusually favorable publishing contract. Akesato’s enrollment strengthened Gojo’s ability to challenge conservative factions within the Jujutsu Alliance. 12 13

Appearance

Gojo is a tall, slender man with white hair, striking blue Six Eyes, and an appearance repeatedly described as exceptionally handsome. He usually conceals his eyes behind a blindfold or opaque sunglasses to reduce the overwhelming sensory input they produce. 12 50

  • White hair.
  • Azure-blue Six Eyes. 50
  • Commonly wears sunglasses or a blindfold. 12 50
  • Often dresses in black. 455
  • His uncovered eyes can intimidate even experienced sorcerers through their passive presence. 434

Personality

Gojo is irreverent, theatrical, and shamelessly self-confident. He enjoys memes, anime, games, teasing others, and making dramatic entrances; his poor punctuality and habit of burdening support staff are notorious at Jujutsu High. 12 14 16 36

Despite this, he is dependable when people need protection. He readily answers his students’ calls for help, protects those targeted by conservative factions, and takes responsibility for the consequences of his own actions. 13 50 54

Gojo dislikes political maneuvering rather than being incapable of it. When Kenjaku threatened Suguru Geto’s family and legacy, Gojo patiently set a trap, coordinated with Miguel and Akesato, and used the false report of his sealing to lure Kenjaku into the open. 402

His greatest vulnerability is his attachment to others. He refuses to sacrifice innocent allies such as Yuta merely to eliminate future risks, even when Kenjaku exploits that compassion. 403

Abilities & Skills

Six Eyes

Gojo possesses the unique Six Eyes, a perception ability connected to Tengen’s Immortality technique and the Original Text’s causal chain. 237

  • Perceives structures and motion down to the atomic level. 50
  • Observes distant objects at extreme magnification. 50
  • Sees Cursed Energy flow and the essence of souls. 50
  • Provides near-complete battlefield awareness, though Gojo reduces sensory input with sunglasses or a blindfold to avoid mental fatigue. 50
  • Supports computational ability compared to a supercomputer; Gojo is described as a world-class mathematician. 450
  • Cannot perfectly identify every deception through perception alone; his recognition that “Geto” was not truly Suguru came from their personal bond. 386

Limitless

Gojo’s inherited Cursed Technique manipulates distance, attraction, and repulsion. He evolved it into an automatic, continuous defense. 230

  • Infinity / passive defense — Objects approaching Gojo slow endlessly and cannot reach him under ordinary circumstances. 56 314
  • Threat filtering — His passive Limitless judges incoming objects by factors such as speed, mass, and shape. 230
  • High-Speed Movement / Teleportation — Uses Limitless applications for rapid movement and teleportation-like travel. 56 299
  • Limit — Cursed Tools or techniques that disrupt Cursed Techniques, such as Miguel’s Black Rope, can create an opening in his defense. 205
  • Limit — Sukuna’s true Domain Amplification can pierce Infinity without a conventional technique clash. 445 446

Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue

Blue produces a powerful attractive force.

  • Pulls targets, terrain, and attacks toward a selected point. 54 309
  • Can drag large numbers of enemies into a compressed mass. 54
  • Used to retrieve Mahito from underground despite his attempted escape. 309
  • Serves as one component of Hollow: Purple. 56

Cursed Technique Reversal: Red

Red is the repulsive reversal of Blue, powered through Reverse Cursed Technique. 55

  • Generates destructive repulsion especially lethal to Cursed Spirits. 55
  • Clears large areas of hostile entities. 54
  • Can be interrupted if Gojo is forced to react to simultaneous large-scale attacks. 309
  • Forms Hollow: Purple when combined with Blue. 56

Hollow: Purple

Hollow: Purple combines Blue’s negative infinity with Red’s positive infinity, creating imaginary mass propelled forward with annihilation-like force. 56

  • Tears through space and everything in its path. 56
  • Has enough force to redraw terrain and create a “wound” through which Akesato glimpses an inverted world. 57
  • Comparable in principle to the annihilation effect later replicated on a vastly larger scale by Ultimate Mechamaru. 442

Reverse Cursed Technique

Gojo uses Reverse Cursed Technique both for healing and to sustain his abilities. 56 230

  • Rapidly repairs physical damage, including injuries sustained after Limitless is disrupted. 205
  • Regenerates the brain cells consumed by maintaining passive Limitless. 230
  • Allows him to sustain Cursed Energy expenditure at a level described as infinitely close to zero. 56
  • Requires substantial sugar intake while maintaining his continuous techniques. 230 447

Domain Expansion: Infinite Void

Infinite Void is Gojo’s Domain Expansion, which forces his perception of the world into the minds of those inside it. 205 456

  • Floods opponents with overwhelming information, accelerating thought while immobilizing the body. 205
  • Has a guaranteed-hit effect when its target is enclosed within the domain. 56
  • Can be deployed in a “Miniature Limited Edition” form to transmit data to Porygon-2 and locate enemy forces. 205
  • Affected targets include allies unless Gojo is physically touching them. 455
  • Gojo deliberately maintains a closed domain to limit collateral damage rather than expanding its range indiscriminately. 456
  • Used against Sukuna to transmit Gojo’s accumulated understanding of mathematics, physics, chemistry, and the world itself. 455 456

Inherent Technique: Taiji

Gojo’s higher-order Inherent Technique manifests black-hole and white-hole models as a three-dimensional Taiji symbol. 452

  • Combines black and white celestial phenomena without allowing them to interfere with one another. 452
  • Produces a sphere of immeasurable transformations capable of threatening both Akesato and Sukuna. 452

Combat Ability

Although Limitless normally makes direct combat unnecessary, Gojo is an elite close-quarters fighter.

  • Uses extreme speed and agility to overwhelm opponents with a greater number of strikes than Akesato or Sukuna. 447 448
  • Can land Black Flash with unusual consistency due to Six Eyes-assisted Cursed Energy control. 16 59
  • Remains dangerous when Limitless is deliberately deactivated, as doing so frees computational capacity and increases his combat output. 447
  • Fought Akesato and Sukuna simultaneously during the Three Saints’ Battle. 447 448

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Blindfold and opaque sunglasses — Reduce Six Eyes sensory overload. 50
  • Black Rope — Not Gojo’s equipment, but Miguel’s Cursed Tool proved capable of disrupting Limitless. 205
  • Mewtwo — Gojo’s Cursed Spirit familiar and household companion after the collapse of the jujutsu system. 469 470
  • Electrode / Voltorb — Gojo’s familiar, notably used to wake him with electric shocks. 469

Relationships

  • Akesato — Student, ally, and close strategic partner. Gojo recruited him into Tokyo Jujutsu High, entrusted him with teaching duties, and later relied on him during political and anti-Kenjaku operations. 12 50 395 405
  • Megumi Fushiguro — Adopted son. Gojo has cared for him for nearly a decade and seeks to ensure the Ten Shadows Technique is taught properly. 20 25
  • Suguru Geto — Former best friend. Gojo was enraged by Kenjaku’s desecration of Geto’s body and personally cremated the corpse after Kenjaku’s defeat. 232 394
  • Masamichi Yaga — Former teacher and longtime mentor. Yaga disciplines Gojo’s behavior, while Gojo continues to regard him as “Principal” even after Jujutsu High is disbanded. 14 469
  • Shoko Ieiri — Trusted associate. Gojo ordered Geto’s body examined and relied on Shoko’s professional judgment despite her reluctance. 232
  • Yuta Okkotsu — Student Gojo encourages toward greater strength; Gojo refuses to treat him as expendable despite Kenjaku’s threats. 49 403
  • Nanako and Mimiko — Geto’s adopted daughters. Gojo honors Geto’s wish to protect them and warns them that someone is using Geto’s body. 398
  • Miguel — Former opponent who later cooperates with Gojo to trap Kenjaku and protect Geto’s remnants. 205 402
  • Mewtwo and Electrode — His familiars and domestic companions in the post-Cursed Power era. 469 470

Story Role / Major Arcs

Recruitment of Akesato

Gojo meets Akesato as an editor from MF Bunko, offers him an exceptionally favorable publishing contract, and formally recruits him to Tokyo Jujutsu High. His status as a Gojo family head and the strongest sorcerer gives Akesato and Akemi protection from the Kamo family. 12 13

Tokyo Jujutsu High Teacher

Gojo introduces Akesato to the school, oversees the first-year class, and gradually delegates practical teaching to Akesato and Akemi due to his own poor teaching habits and heavy workload. 16 19

He teaches the students the principles of Domain Expansion, demonstrates Blue, Red, and Hollow: Purple, and stresses that invincibility does not mean omnipotence. 55 56

Tokyo Branch and Alliance Reform

Gojo supports Akesato’s challenge to conservative Alliance factions and gains an independent Tokyo branch with responsibility for finances, personnel, and mission assignments. The administrative burden proves far more exhausting to him than combat. 170 182 183

Kenjaku and the Prison Realm

After realizing Kenjaku has taken Suguru Geto’s body, Gojo confronts Tengen and becomes determined to stop Kenjaku. 232 237

Kenjaku exploits Gojo’s emotional reaction to Geto’s face to activate the Prison Realm, sealing Gojo and stripping him of Cursed Power. 386 387

False Sealing and Kenjaku’s Defeat

Following his return, Gojo conceals the truth of his sealing and unsealing, allowing Akesato to spread news of his absence as bait. The power vacuum draws out hostile factions and helps expose Kenjaku’s movements. 394 395

Gojo monitors Geto’s remnants, anticipates Kenjaku’s attempt to seize them, and corners Kenjaku with Miguel. Though Kenjaku tries to exploit Gojo’s attachments, Akesato’s arrival stabilizes the situation. 401 402 403

Three Saints’ Battle

Gojo joins Akesato against Sukuna as one of the story’s Saint Grade combatants. Sukuna temporarily breaches Limitless with true Domain Amplification, forcing Gojo into a more direct combat state. 445 447

Gojo ultimately uses Infinite Void to overwhelm Sukuna with his understanding of the world, leaving Sukuna mentally incapacitated. 455 456

Post-Jujutsu Life

After the jujutsu system collapses and his long-held reform goals are realized, Gojo abandons his former relentless work pace. Without Cursed Power and its passive support, he sleeps late, lives with Mewtwo and Electrode, and is repeatedly dragged into public responsibilities by Yaga. 469 470
