After Xiao Yi Xian’s Poison Body of Calamity emerged, Xia Mo learned of a dangerous method that might control it and resolved to gather what she needed.

• Xia Mo and Xiao Yi Xian retrieved the hidden cave’s treasures, built a successful Blood Coagulating Paste business, and left Qingshan Town for Wutan City.
• Xia Mo befriended Xiao Yan and Xiao Xun'er, taught himself alchemy, and met Old Yao, who took him and Xiao Yan as disciples.

Xia Mo refined the Golden Emperor Burning Heaven Flame, dominated the Inner Academy Selection Competition, and gathered treasures and allies before leaving for the Inner Academy. He arrived with the other newcomers and received a warning that their selection victory was only the beginning.

• Xia Mo refined the Golden Emperor Burning Heaven Flame with Azure Fire Venerable’s help, reached the peak of eight-star Da Dou Shi, and buried the Venerable before leaving the cave.
• Xia Mo defeated three Dou Ling experts and a Blood Sect youth, then returned to Jia Nan Academy and registered for the Inner Academy Selection Competition.

• Elder Su brought Xia Mo and the new students into the Inner Academy, where Xia Mo took a separate courtyard and used force to stop senior students from extorting the freshmen.
• Xia Mo entered the Heavenly Flame Refining Qi Tower, overcame its Heart Flame, and chose a fifth-floor cultivation room after Elder Liu warned him about the tower’s dangers.
• After nearly a month of cultivation, Xia Mo reached the peak of nine-star Da Dou Shi and moved to the sixth floor, where he defeated the Shi Wu Gang and Kun Gang challengers to claim the ninth room.
