After a day of discussion, the research into the Extremis Virus had taken a clear direction. Once the two of them threw themselves into it, they simply could not stop.
As for Howard and Chen Mo, they left the laboratory with Tony.
Now that the direction and approach for the Extremis Virus research had been determined, Tony Stark, having gained a deeper understanding of the Extremis Virus, had rewritten the experimental formula. The remaining research had little to do with them.
When it came to the actual experimental phase, the most experienced were Dr. Abraham Erskine, the creator of the Super Soldier Serum, and Maya Hansen, the inventor of the Extremis Virus. The two of them were the main force behind this research.
Tony Stark, who had originally thought he would have to stay at S.H.I.E.L.D. for a long time, naturally rushed back to Los Angeles at once. Chen Mo, meanwhile, teleported with Howard to the Chinese Martial Arts School in Brooklyn, which was not too far away.
Chen Mo had originally planned to go alone, but once Howard found out, he insisted on coming along.
Ever since faking his death, aside from his periods of cryogenic sleep, he had spent nearly all his time at S.H.I.E.L.D.
After all, to the outside world, he had long since been "dead." If someone recognized him by accident, it would inevitably cause considerable trouble.
That had not originally been much of an issue. Howard had long grown used to it.
But now, watching Chen Mo, Steve, and Carter "come back to life" one after another, openly living carefree lives outside under the title of Super Heroes, while he remained a "dead man" who could only stay at S.H.I.E.L.D. and never show his face, left Howard feeling terribly bitter.
