When the two descended into the dungeon, Loki, imprisoned in the cell at the very front of the passage, noticed them immediately.

Loki could not help recalling how Chen Mo had "tormented" him time and again on Earth!
First, before hundreds of humans, he had been overwhelmingly defeated by Chen Mo. After falling to the ground, he was pinned down and hacked at by Chen Mo for what felt like ages before a sword was held to his throat and he was captured. He still vividly remembered the coldness and stabbing pain when that sword pierced his neck, because it had been the closest he had come to death in all his years!
Then, after Thor had snatched him out of the aircraft, Chen Mo had kicked him off a cliff. He had bounced and crashed continuously against the sheer cliff face, finally smashing a huge crater into the earth and lying there unable to move.
Later, when the wormhole opened and the Chitauri army poured through in great numbers, just as he thought his plan was about to succeed and his ambition to rule Earth was about to be fulfilled, Chen Mo had once again turned the tide. Not only had he wiped out the entire Chitauri army, but he had also kicked Loki off the rooftop. After plummeting straight down through the air for what seemed like forever, he had slammed brutally into the ground again, creating a crater even larger than the last one!
Chen Mo was simply his nemesis!
