Loki heard Frigga's words and stared fixedly at her with his lips pressed together. Only after a long while did he shake his head somewhat guiltily, step forward, and reach for Frigga's outstretched hands.
Though he hated Odin and no longer wished to acknowledge Odin as his father, his feelings for Frigga had never changed in the slightest.
Although he was not Odin and Frigga's biological son, Frigga had always treated him and Thor equally, and had always insisted that Thor protect his younger brother.
Even now that Odin had ordered him imprisoned in the dungeon, Frigga had done everything she could to make his life less miserable, bringing him all sorts of furniture and books.
Loki reached for Frigga's outstretched hands, but at the instant of contact, it was as though he had popped a bubble. Frigga's hands gradually dissipated in a glow of light, which slowly spread up toward the rest of her body.
