More than a month had passed, and the work of decoding the genetic sequences of the Fire Dragon and Thor was only a little over halfway complete. A great deal of research and experimentation would still be needed afterward.
Separating the flame-energy fragments from the Fire Dragon's genes, improving the stability of the Extremis Virus's flame energy, integrating Thor's genes to enhance its physical modification effects—each of these was a massive undertaking that would take at least several months. Completing all the research and fully perfecting the Extremis Virus would take at least one or two years, and that was assuming everything went smoothly!
Rather than waiting here for one or two years, or even longer, Chen Mo might as well return to the real world and travel through a few more worlds. By the time he came back next time, the research might already be finished!
Having decided to leave, Chen Mo began arranging the follow-up matters.
Dr. Abraham Erskine was in charge of the Extremis Virus research, with Howard and Tony Stark assisting him and S.H.I.E.L.D. protecting the operation. Nothing should go wrong, so Chen Mo did not need to worry about it.
The Fire Dragon, however, was a problem!
It was not impossible to bring it back to the real world, but he would need to build a gigantic cryogenic chamber large enough to hold it.
Besides, there was little point in bringing the Fire Dragon back to the real world!
If he wanted to ride a dragon around for fun, what difference did the world make? He could not possibly show up before the public with it in the real world. In the Avengers world, on the other hand, if he wished, he could simply leave its cloaking device off and ride the Fire Dragon directly
