Seeing him like this, the female agent Lena could not help speaking again.
"Don't stay too late either. If you ask me, this case is just like Deadpool, who wiped out the entire Los Angeles Mafia overnight. There's no way we'll ever get any results."
David looked up, revealing bloodshot eyes. Seeing the concern in his subordinate's gaze, he swallowed the rebuke that had risen to his lips. In the end, he merely nodded and waved her away.
"I know. Get off work already! Otherwise, stay and work overtime with me!"
But Lena did not flee in embarrassment as David had expected. Instead, she hesitated, seeming as though she really intended to stay.
Seeing this, David hurriedly waved his hand and said impatiently.
"You really want to stay and work overtime? Get out of here. Stop bothering me!"
