Logically, with their signals blocked and disrupted, and without human control, the Iron Man suits could only rely on their automatic control systems to perform simple evasive maneuvers. Before these powerful Tomahawk Missiles set to detonate prematurely, evasion would be meaningless.
But things did not unfold as they had imagined.
As the dozen or so Tomahawk Missiles rapidly closed in, Iron Man did not evade them. Instead, he raised his arm, the armor plates sprang open, and small armor-piercing missiles fired out one after another, charging head-on toward the Tomahawk Missiles and quickly detonating every one of them.
Watching Iron Man fire another dozen or so small missiles, the fleet Commander and the person in charge of the Ground command center became even more convinced that Iron Man was a robot. They even ruled out the possibility that a disabled person was inside.
But this also showed that the Iron Man robot was far more intelligent than they had imagined.
Even after they had disrupted and blocked its control signals, leaving it without human operation, it could still automatically assess the power of incoming missiles and independently choose the appropriate weapons to strike back.
