David had originally thought that even if the case was not as completely baffling as the "Deadpool" case, it would still take more than ten days. He had even planned to stay up all night at the office, yet his subordinates told him they were almost done. How long had it been since they took the case? Not even a day!

Had all the luck he had used up last time come back this time?

"Following procedure, we first checked the phones and personal computers of the suspects, the middlemen involved in the transaction, and the final targets one by one. We found that, perhaps because they were afraid of being abandoned by the people behind them, or because they wanted to blackmail someone for money, several of them had actually kept recordings of their calls. That let us nail down several people at once. As for the rest, we found records and surveillance footage of their communications, transactions, or drug transportation. Most of it had been deleted or even formatted, but we tried recovering it and luckily restored the critical parts. After technical processing, even the recordings and images that were blurry and unclear basically met our requirements."

Listening to his subordinate's report, David became even more certain that his good luck had returned. Investigating cases, tracking down leads, and gathering evidence had never gone this smoothly before. It looked like he should buy a Powerball ticket tomorrow and test his luck!

David was still delighted when he heard his capable subordinate continue.

"Only Meishi Company remains. They directly formatted the server for their company's surveillance system. We're trying to recover it now. We should be able to restore part of it, then conduct further screening. Hopefully, we'll find something."
