After briefing the subordinate driving, David turned to an agent in the back seat carrying a laptop.
"Check whether any other vehicles came down this stretch of road within the past hour!"
The three black SUVs immediately started up, turned onto the side road, and sped ahead.
The agent in the back seat worked rapidly on his computer and soon got the results. Apart from that convoy, no other vehicles had come off the highway.
It's them!
The country road was silent at night. Other than the three black SUVs, there were no other vehicles. The cars sped along and soon reached another fork in the road.
The agent driving instinctively slowed down, preparing to stop.
However, David's eyes lit up as he looked at one of the dirt roads. Several tire tracks of varying depths, widths, and tread patterns were clearly visible on the ground. Though shallow, they were still distinct.
David stopped his subordinate from pulling over and pointed at the dirt road as he shouted.
"Take that road!"
The convoy, which had been about to stop, accelerated again and turned onto the dirt road. The FBI agents in the vehicles finally noticed the clear tire tracks on the ground and quickly understood their Boss's reasoning.
Although they had learned tracking during training, they could not discern vehicle tracks on a rainy night to this extent. Their Boss truly was their Boss!
David had no mind to enjoy the admiration of his agents. The three vehicles continued speeding forward along the tracks while he held a tablet and kept swiping across the high-definition satellite map, checking the road ahead. Before long, a small building appeared on the map.
David's eyes instantly lit up. He quickly zoomed out and checked the distance between the building and their current location.
