Every attack sliced at least one Chitauri soldier in half, killing them on the spot. The dozen or so Chitauri soldiers who had been relentlessly suppressing Tony Stark were slaughtered by the two of them in an instant!

Freed from the constant barrage of energy attacks, Tony Stark finally steadied himself and rose completely from the ground!

Shaking his somewhat dazed head, Tony Stark looked at Steve and Carter, who had rescued him, and nodded.

In truth, although Tony Stark had looked rather battered just now, he had not actually been in any real danger. The ferocious attacks had merely left him disoriented, and he had been unable to respond in time. Given a little more time, even if he could not immediately turn the tables, he could have activated the thrusters beneath his feet and temporarily escaped the encirclement. Then, with his high-speed, agile flight capabilities, he could have picked off these alien infantrymen, who could only move along the ground and walls.

But that would have taken some time. No matter what, he really had been in a difficult situation just now. Steve and Carter's timely arrival had quickly broken the siege and pulled him out of that embarrassing predicament, so Tony Stark still had to appreciate the favor.

With the troublesome Leviathan taken down and the Chitauri soldiers deployed to the ground mostly cleared out, the three of them turned at the same time to look at the wormhole above Stark Tower, wanting to see how the situation stood.

But what they saw made all three of their expressions change!

Another Leviathan, identical to the previous one, emerged from the wormhole. Shielded by its massive body, many Chitauri aircraft escaped Chen Mo's gatling gun fire and scattered in all directions.
