Turning the Tide

After taking the nuclear bomb out of storage and setting its detonation timer, Chen Mo wasted no time. He activated the cloaking device, retraced his route, and flew out through the passage used by the Leviathans, leaving the Chitauri mothership to be destroyed by humanity's ultimate weapon!

Chen Mo pushed the engines to full power and sped toward the wormhole, leaving countless Chitauri aircraft and Leviathans behind him.

Most of the Chitauri army would be reduced to ashes in the coming nuclear blast before they could pass through the wormhole. Even those lucky enough to make it through would die when the Chitauri mothership, to which they were closely linked, was destroyed. In the end, only a handful of Chitauri officers might survive—but death would still await them!

The Chitauri were destined to be completely wiped out today!

After passing through the wormhole, Chen Mo returned to Earth and appeared above Stark Tower. But he immediately noticed something was wrong!

In the sky, on the streets, and atop Stark Tower, the Avengers were under fierce attack from the Chitauri. On the circular platform extending from Stark Tower, Chen Mo spotted a familiar figure—Loki the Evil God!

That cunning bastard had actually escaped after all!

Although Loki had been imprisoned by Chen Mo, he could still remotely control the Mind Scepter. Though the scepter had been sealed away separately and its mind-affecting power greatly weakened, Loki had still managed to use it at full force to control the two soldiers guarding it. While everyone aboard the Sky Carrier was occupied with tense preparations, the two men secretly carried the Mind Scepter to the holding cells at the very bottom of the carrier and released him!

The Avengers in the air, on the ground, and atop Stark Tower were all busy fighting,
