"If possible, I'd still like to live next door to you, just like we did in New York. It'll make it easier to look after your daily needs."
Old Albert spoke as he followed Chen Mo upstairs.
Chen Mo naturally had no objection. There were plenty of rooms in the Castle, and Old Albert could choose whichever one he liked.
Chen Mo might not have wanted anyone else living beside him, but the old butler Albert clearly received different treatment. Like him, Chen Mo also missed their days at the Martial Arts School in Brooklyn. With a trustworthy old butler by his side, many things became much more convenient.
The two soon reached the third floor and followed the spacious indoor corridor to Chen Mo's bedroom at the easternmost end.
Pointing at his room, Chen Mo said to Old Albert,
"This is my room. You can pick either of the two next to it, but the one on the south side gets better sunlight."
Chen Mo's room stood at the very end of the eastern side of the corridor, occupying the entire easternmost section of the floor. It faced both north and south, had windows on three sides, pleasant views, and ample space.
The two adjoining rooms in the corridor lay on the south and north sides respectively. Though each was less than half the size of Chen Mo's room, they were still quite large.
Chen Mo pushed open the door to the southern room and entered first.
Old Albert followed behind Chen Mo, taking in the room. It was already late afternoon, nearing dusk. The sun would soon set, but the light was still bright.
Golden sunset slanted through the wide windows, filling the entire room with a bright yet warm glow.
