Beizawa had one fewer class today than yesterday.

The Will of Fire was in the morning, and Combat Class was in the afternoon.

After finishing his classes, Beizawa returned to the office.

He casually picked up the assignments on his desk and began reading them.

Combat Class had no assignments; only Konoha History and the Will of Fire did.

Neither subject's assignments were difficult. Everyone could pass, though a few students had done exceptionally well.

To Beizawa's surprise, Naruto Uzumaki was among them.

It seemed he had explained the material rather well.

This was not Beizawa boasting. In the original story, Naruto Uzumaki had been the dead last.

So-called dead last meant ranking last in the entire class, hopeless at both theoretical and practical classes.

Time passed until the final class of the day: Combat Class.

Quite a few students looked delighted at those words, especially the ninja clan prodigies led by Sasuke Uchiha and Shikamaru Nara.

After all, free activity was practically the same as having no class.

Kiba Inuzuka froze on the spot and said regretfully, "If I'd known, I would've shown my real strength yesterday!"

Naruto Uzumaki clenched his fists.

"I don't have time."

Sasuke Uchiha rejected her without mercy.

Without even looking at her, he walked to the other side of the field.

Sasuke Uchiha formed hand seals with both hands. Chakra surged forth and transformed into a fist-sized fireball in the air.

Disappointment inevitably appeared on his face.

What shocked Sasuke Uchiha was that it was even larger than the Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique his brother Itachi Uchiha had used.

It completely overturned everything he thought he knew.

"Want to learn? I'll teach you."

Seeing his stunned expression, Beizawa could not help but smile.

Although the Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique was a signature ninjutsu of the Uchiha Clan, it was easy to learn and powerful, so many ninjas outside the clan knew it as well.

That included Beizawa's nominal teacher, who had already died.

The original story never mentioned how to train Fire Style Chakra Nature Transformation, but it did explain the training for Wind Style Chakra Nature Transformation.

It had been shown when Naruto Uzumaki sought out Asuma Sarutobi to learn Wind Style.

The first step was using Wind Style to cut a leaf.

The second step was using Wind Style to cut a waterfall.

The third step was applying the nature transformation one had learned to Wind Style ninjutsu.

"Chakra Nature Transformation is still too early for you. I'll first teach you how to strengthen your Chakra control."

Beizawa raised a hand and pointed at a tree not far away. "Gather Chakra in your feet, then climb up it."

The Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique also involved Chakra Nature Transformation.

But it was only a C-rank ninjutsu, not the Rasengan, so its shape transformation was not difficult. It only needed to become bigger and rounder.

"Is it really that simple?"

Sasuke Uchiha found it hard to believe.

Beizawa merely smiled.

Beizawa raised an eyebrow. So tsundere behavior has already fallen out of fashion.

Watching Sasuke Uchiha climb the tree, Beizawa thought of a problem.

How was he supposed to explain the source of the ninjutsu rewarded by the system?

For low-level ninjutsu, he could say they had been taught by his deceased squad leader and teammates.

After all, dead people were sometimes more useful than living ones. No one could verify anything with them.

But for advanced ninjutsu, starting from B-rank, he could no longer use that excuse.

There were two ways for ninjas to obtain ninjutsu: being taught by a teacher, or being rewarded by Konoha.

Beizawa rubbed his chin and fell into thought.

The sudden words made Beizawa freeze.

For an ordinary Chunin like him to become the Lifelong Rival of the future savior... the system had truly set him up.

Though he was happy to see a new mission, it looked simple only on the surface. In reality, it was not.

He had no new ninjutsu to learn, even if it only required C-rank difficulty.

Should he go find Hiruzen Sarutobi?

He had no achievements to speak of right now. Going to ask out of the blue would make him seem ungrateful and presumptuous.
