You Clearly Don't Understand at All

A dull thud rang out.

Sasuke Uchiha fell from the tree again.

Beizawa nodded slightly.

Even though he was battered and bruised from the falls, Sasuke Uchiha did not make a sound.

To earn Fugaku Uchiha and Itachi Uchiha's praise, he was truly giving it everything he had.

Unfortunately, even after an entire class, he still could not smoothly climb to the top of the tree.

"Sasuke."

Beizawa spoke up to stop him. "It's about time. Practice again tomorrow."

"Teacher Beizawa, you can go back first."

Sasuke Uchiha said stubbornly.

"Haste makes waste."

Beizawa shook his head and said, "Only by balancing work and rest can you train better."

Sasuke Uchiha could not help but pause.

Though he did not really understand it, it sounded very reasonable.

Coupled with the shock from Beizawa's earlier Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique, he hesitated for a few seconds before agreeing.

"Remember to find a medical ninja to treat your injuries when you get back."

Beizawa reminded him.

"Okay. Thank you, Teacher Beizawa."

Sasuke Uchiha limped toward the school gates.

Beizawa returned to the training ground.

Since class had ended, most of the students had gone home. Only Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuga remained.

"Teacher Beizawa!"

Naruto Uzumaki ran over, saying excitedly, "I hit it!"

"What did you hit?"

Beizawa raised an eyebrow and asked.

"The bullseye!"

Naruto Uzumaki shouted.

"Congratulations."

Beizawa paused, then said, "But don't get cocky. You've only just gotten started."

"Yeah!"

Naruto Uzumaki nodded vigorously.

"See you tomorrow."

Beizawa patted his shoulder and said, "The next Combat Class will use Moving Targets."

"I'll work hard!"

Naruto Uzumaki did not understand the meaning of fear at all. He happily waved, then turned and left.

"Hinata."

Beizawa smiled and asked, "Are you nervous?"

"A little."

Seeing his gentle smile, Hinata Hyuga felt much of her nervousness fade away.

"Let's go."

Beizawa held out his hand.

Hinata Hyuga froze for a moment, then instinctively took his hand.

The warm touch made her cheeks flush slightly.

The two left the school and arrived at their meeting place, a small forest.

Seeing the familiar surroundings, Hinata Hyuga could not help but tremble inwardly.

This was where she had encountered those three little bullies last time.

The only difference was that it had been snowing last time, while today was sunny.

"They're not here yet. Let's set up an ambush first."

After thinking for a moment, Beizawa said this.

Hinata Hyuga looked up at him, her face full of confusion.

"I'm a teacher, after all."

Beizawa cleared his throat and said.

Wasn't it only natural for a teacher to educate students?

Hinata Hyuga blinked, still not understanding.

"I think you really don't understand at all."

Seeing her adorably blank expression, Beizawa pinched her soft cheek.

Hinata Hyuga's cheeks reddened further, her fair skin taking on a rosy tint.

"Hinata, remember this: if you want to overcome fear, you must face it head-on."

Beizawa said in a deep voice.

Hinata Hyuga pursed her lips, and then a determined look appeared on her face.

When she blinked again, she discovered that Beizawa had already vanished.

For some reason, fear suddenly rose in her heart again.

She took a deep breath, turned around, and looked at the three little bullies approaching from afar.

"She actually came alone?"

Toranosuke looked around, sounding somewhat surprised.

"Does she think she can beat the three of us by herself?"

The boy on the left said angrily, "Big Brother, she's obviously looking down on us!"

"Hey!"

Toranosuke stepped forward and loudly asked, "What do you mean by that?"

Hinata Hyuga stood frozen in place.

Although Beizawa had given her courage, there was no way she could completely change her personality in just two days.

Now that fear had seized her, she forgot everything, and her mind went blank.

Move! Hinata!

Hinata Hyuga screamed inwardly, but it was as if all strength had drained from her body. She could not move at all.

"I'm talking to you!"

Toranosuke asked irritably, "Are you mute?"

Hinata Hyuga shuddered and instinctively took a step back.

Teacher Beizawa, save me!

"You have successfully enraged a male lion!"

Toranosuke lost his patience and reached out to grab Hinata Hyuga.

At that moment, a violent gust of wind rose.

Hinata Hyuga's hair was blown upward.

She instinctively raised both hands to hold down her flying hair.

But when she came back to her senses, her eyes widened.

The gale swept up the three boys and smashed them into three trees.

"Ahhh!"

Toranosuke let out a beastlike scream.

He felt as though his entire body had been shattered.

The other two boys were the same, their faces pale with both pain and fear.

Beizawa stepped out.

That gust of wind had been caused by him, using Wind Release: Great Breakthrough.

The power of this C-rank Wind Release ninjutsu depended on the amount of Chakra poured into it.

In the original story, Orochimaru had used Wind Release: Great Breakthrough to summon a fierce gale that blew down a small forest.

"Y-you... who are you?"

Cold sweat seeped from Toranosuke's forehead.

"I'm just a ninja passing by."

Beizawa chuckled and said, "Three boys bullying one little girl. You've truly disgraced your parents."

"No, that's not right. You're a teacher!"

The boy on the left sat up and suddenly remembered something. "I've seen you at school!"

"Shameless! You actually got a teacher to help you?!"

Toranosuke pointed at Hinata Hyuga and shouted angrily.

"Shut up, snow leopard!"

Beizawa narrowed his eyes and said, "And you call yourself a male lion?"

"This isn't fair!"

Toranosuke shrank back and said.

"Fair? You really hit the nail on the head."

Beizawa walked over to him and said, "I came here to do one thing: ensure fairness!"

Toranosuke jumped in fright and hurriedly scooted backward.

"You three ganged up on one person. That wasn't fair. Hinata asked me for help, and that wasn't fair either. So we're even."

Beizawa said slowly, "One month from now, right here, you and Hinata will fight one-on-one. A fair duel."

As he had said, only by facing fear head-on could one overcome it.

One month was enough time for Beizawa to change Hinata Hyuga's personality.

Only after she defeated Toranosuke would she achieve true growth.

"What do you say? Do you agree?"

Beizawa held out his hand, clenched it into a fist, and asked.

"I agree!"

Seeing that fist as large as a sandbag, Toranosuke hurriedly shouted.

"Where's the scarf you stole last time?"

Remembering his mission, Beizawa asked.

"I threw it over there."

Toranosuke raised his hand and pointed to the left.

"See you next time."

Beizawa glanced over and spotted the scarf on the ground, then said with a smile.

But in the eyes of Toranosuke and the other two, it looked like the vicious grin of a demon. They scrambled to their feet and ran away.

Beizawa was not worried that they would bring their parents into this.

He had already investigated them. Their parents were merely ordinary civilian ninjas.

Besides, Toranosuke and the other two had been the ones to attack first. As a teacher, it was only right for him to protect his student.

Even if the matter reached Hiruzen Sarutobi, Beizawa would still have the moral high ground.

"Hinata, are you alright?"

Beizawa turned around and walked over to Hinata Hyuga.

She had been so frightened from the beginning that she had stood there dumbfounded.

Hearing his voice and seeing his warm smile, Hinata Hyuga finally moved and threw herself into his arms.

Beizawa froze slightly.

He could feel Hinata Hyuga's trembling body.

After all, she was only a little girl.

Beizawa raised a hand and gently stroked her head.
