The World Government had not harmed a single person in Ohara. They had not even fired a single shell at Ohara. They had merely taken Ohara's books and branded every scholar in Ohara with a mark of shame, nailing them all to the pillar of disgrace.
Yet Dr. Clover did not even know how to refute it. After all, what the newspaper said—that Ohara's scholars had traveled to libraries across the world to gather books—was true...
It was also true that some people, in pursuit of knowledge, had forcibly seized restricted books under government supervision in certain countries...
It was also true that Ohara's archaeological team had illegally entered historical sites and landmarks the World Government forbade people from visiting...
In other words, every charge listed against Ohara's scholars was true.
Dr. Clover had never expected the World Government to avoid mentioning their research into the Void Century entirely.
