"Pfft..."
Bullet was beaten until his face was a mess. Spitting blood, he glared at Shaya and roared, "Aren't you a swordsman?"
"When did you get the illusion that I was a swordsman?"
Shaya sheathed the recovered Ace at his waist and looked at Bullet as he asked.
After a brief pause, Shaya continued, "Why would I use such inconvenient things as blades?"
"I haven't lost yet..."
Bullet wiped the blood from his face. He swore to fight Shaya to the bitter end.
"I never said you lost. I said you're about to lose..."
Shaya remained calm. He had already figured Bullet out. Bullet was exactly the kind of opponent he was best at dealing with. Though Bullet was stronger than him, not by enough to overwhelm him by an entire level. At the same level, Shaya, who had mastered the martial essence of Power Erasure, was already invincible! If his enemy had been a great swordsman of the same level, Shaya might have run into plenty of trouble. Unfortunately, Bullet was not...
Bullet did not even qualify as a boxer. He was a brute who fought purely through strength.
Oh, right. He was also a mechanical genius. His place aboard a ship should have been as a shipwright.
"Again!"
The more Bullet fought, the fiercer he became. He turned into an afterimage and charged straight at Shaya.
Facing the powerful Bullet, Shaya drew the blade at his waist and planted it in the ground before assuming a martial arts stance.
"Why aren't you using a weapon?"
Bullet watched Shaya's movements and asked in confusion.
"Because you don't have a weapon. I'm afraid that when you lose later, you'll refuse to admit it..."
Shaya answered honestly.
"To hell with you! Who do you think I am?"
Bullet was clearly enraged
