"What do you mean?"

In the subway car, Cheng Si Han looked at β's outstretched hand and asked.

"Your phone and any other communication devices. Let me hold onto them for now," β said with a smile. "This isn't aimed at you specifically. You should know that Teacher has always been cautious. Quite a few people are looking for him now—not just you sisters, but some other people too, including those from Greek and Roman Mythology. It never hurts to be careful."

Cheng Si Han frowned, but after a moment, she still took her hand out of her pocket and handed over her phone. "Don't lose it. There's a lot of important stuff saved on it."

"Of course." β agreed readily, but after taking the phone, she held it for less than ten seconds before casually slipping it into the backpack of a shifty-looking man beside her. The man was currently standing next to an office worker, secretly reaching into the latter's pocket for his wallet. Once he succeeded, he immediately moved toward the doors, apparently intending to get off and transfer to another subway line.

Cheng Si Han's brow twitched, and a flash of killing intent passed through her eyes.

"Do you have any other electronic devices that can track your location or contact the outside world?" β asked cheerfully.

"No." Cheng Si Han did her best to suppress the anger in her heart.

"What about items?"

"None."

"Would you mind if I searched you?"

"You'd better not push your luck too far." Cheng Si Han's gaze darkened.

β shrugged, looking utterly innocent.

"Just this once." Half a minute later, Cheng Si Han still chose to yield. She stood straight and signaled for β to begin.

Yet when the latter walked up to her, she did not immediately reach
